Electric retract
Just getting on this build, I got the electric retracts....
On the main did you have to removed wood/carbon on the Dual rib in order for the retract to sit flush with the mount?
I find it strange that the retract doesn’t slide right in, so I’m asking before I start........
Retract is about 32mm high and from the top of the rail 41mm to the top inner skin, so the current space is way too small.

Just a heads up.
After around 15 flights my retracts were starting to become very "sloppy" and did not extend easily with the gear doors catching in the wheel wells. Removed them and found the countersink bolts that hold the trunnion blocks in place were working themselves almost completely loose ready to fall out, wearing the side frame holes into a slight oval, Have cleaned them up and reinstalled with Loctite. Something I did not do when I put the kit together. These are the standard retracts that come with the kit.

I was informed by Dirk that I needed to sand the rib to fit the e-Retract, something the factory sometime forget to do.
As for the screws they are not Loctite for the e-retract either, I think that’s pretty standard thing on these Retract.

It performs surprising well. Not a rocket ship but gets around the pattern just fine. Vertical is OK if you build up some speed first. I fly from a 480' concrete runway a little above sea level and can lift off near the midpoint with half flaps if I set the brakes and go to full power first. Normal take-offs use about 300-350'. I fly for about 6 minutes and land with 1/3 of a tank remaining. More than satisfied with the K-100.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to give a special shout out to Tyler Pandis for taking home the "Rookie of the Year" award this weekend at Best in the West 2017. Tyler is 12 years old, and was putting on a very nice show with his Orange Scheme T-1. Tyler was flying his T-1 with a KingTech K-100 and is already chomping on the bit to drop in a K-140 so he can really air it out!! This is one young pilot to keep your eyes on and ears out for. I wouldn't be surprised to see him with some Sponsors on his sleeve very soon!! Good job Tyler and keep it up!!

How much full landing flap and crow do you have,, If you are landing with half throttle already, you are carrying a lot of drag, I would guess that you have too much flap, this is a very slick airframe and does not need to be landing with a lot of power, You are flying with the smaller range of turbine for the plane and don't have a lot of low rpm thrust compared to some of the larger engines, creating a different landing requirement for you. You are having to carry more power to keep it flying, reducing the full landing flaps will help reduce the drag, and use less power while keeping the plane flying while coming in, the crow does create a slight drag, but benefits the plane by keeping your wings stable. .Crow DEFINATELY helps you on the landing, It will help keep the wings stable and predictable while settling in. I would start by reducing main flap setting and then Start at about 3/8 crow, and you will probably very happy there. You can always work your way up to what you are comfortable with. You will know when you are getting too much crow because the attitude of the nose will go higher with the more crow you have, until the plane stalls.

Yes too much flap could be it.
Also check your CG, you might be nose heavy and having to use more elevator throw to hold the nose up . I have mine at around 240mm from leading edge at root and once i did that,ie. moved from 220mm it stopped that slight wing drop on the flare. Even now I could go to 250mm i reckon.

Question on your landing setup. Is it a good idea to have crow setup on your landing approaches with full flaps. Mine tip stalled on landing with almost half power on coming in (K100) just don't know if I need to be more on the power or just take out the crow. Thank you
No crow needed.. How much flap do you have?.. This plane FLOATS AND FLOATS AND FLOATS...
I would say remove the crow.. Then decrease your flaps slowly (no more than 2 degrees at a time) an I think you will be happier with the landing performance

People land differently and lots of runways have different requirements. Lately I've been using a shorter final in an effort to keep my planes within airfield boundaries a little better; plus it looks cool and mimics the way the F-15s are landing at PDX. This means I need to drop a lot of altitude in the base leg and turn to final. Crow helps a lot here as I'm able to point the nose down without gaining speed; it also helps to spoil lift during the flare and plants the plane on the runway. I have my crow set to automatically retract if I push my throttle beyond 75% for go arounds.
I don't know what my CG is as I've pushed it back recently; but she does fly well and requires virtually no elevator input for inverted flight. Last time I checked it was around 250mm.
My control throws are similar to what Lior posted some time ago except I've increased the down elevator and nixed all the expo.
If I do slow down too much in the flair it will drop the starboard wing, I don't know what that's about.
