So, just a week away from 26th annual Jets Over Whidbey. Weather forecast is looking good. The banquet night at Capt Whidbey turned out to have too many complications. Instead, we will be meeting at Pizza Factory in Coupeville, just 3 miles from the field on Saturday night. It should be a great 3 days of flying. Once again, RV's can show up after 11:00 AM on Thursday. See you then !!!!

To All,
Access to the field has been revised due to Navy needs. As of this time the field will be made available to us at 6:15 pm on Thursday. RV's and MH's will be allowed to set up at this time. There is a possibility that the Navy will complete their flights on Wednesday allowing us access to the field Thursday late morning but we will not know this until Wednesday. Fly days for the event remain on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will keep everyone posted as more information becomes available.

Kudos to the CD, WIRCS, and pilots for another fun event. The weather was much better this year, no porta you know what blowing down the taxi way. I've got to get off the dime and start partaking instead of just watching.

Bart, Wish I knew you were there, would have been nice to meet you. Any work on the Rookie?? I was flying the big gray Yak and a bobcat.
Definitely a great event, Bill and Al did a great job running everything very smoothly. Weather was near perfect! Bummed I could only make two of the three days. Great group of jet people, always fun catching up with everyone from out of state.

Well Jean and I got home about 4 hours ago now and just about finished unloading. Want to say a big thank you to CD Bill Rietzel, Assistant CD Al Watson and Event Co-ordinator Tom Berry, for doing a terrific job on this years addition of JOW. Of course they can't do this without the great support of the Whidbey Club. Had great time and as usual great place to have it. I would like to thank all the strong arms ( Bruce, Bob, Todd and Behzad) that helped me lift around the A-10.
It was great seeing all the pilots from the Pacific Northwest again. As Mike said a great bunch of people to hang out with. Hope we can get out again next year. Hope to see a lot of you at Princeton in 3 weeks.
By for now Alan and Jean.
