Default Your Favorite F100 Paint skeem?

Hey guys, Its some times hard for me to believe I have only been fly jets for 3 years as of last week. (according to my first Turbine Facebook post LOL)

Anyways, I have had a wide range of jets lately and Im currently happy with my current fleet, but I somehow came across a deal that was to good, and picked up a Skymaster - X-Treme F100, the one that is the same size of the BVM without the cool leading edge slats. It is the white jell coat model, and needs a slick paint job.

I have been getting way better over the last couple of years with my paint job skill, (even have a paint both in my house now) but Im struggling finding a paint skeem that makes the F100 look its best.

I know this model and BVM F100 have been around for a long time, and want to know if you have an pics of any cool paint skeems that really impressed you, it don't matter if it is scale.

Thanks for your time Mike

If your looking for something totally different but it should be Highly visible and easy to paint. I just found this one out of the blue.

Your other choice is also cool but a lot of masking required.

Hum

That is sweet a lot like the paint skeem I was hoping to put on my Bates Dauntless if I could ever stop building jets, If I do this skeem I will beable to use the same car paint for both birds..

Man, that's what I wanted to fly but they were sending me to Lackland for training and I knew I would get stuck as a truck driver. My next choice was a NIMROD but again, Lackland was a sure fire placement in transporting kids for slaughter.

I love this one. It would be a challenge.

The red and white one I posted above is cool but found out it's a paint option for FEJ and I don't want anyone get it mixed up

My favorite, but nearly impossible to find any documentation or an "actual" picture other than this one.

The model you have is a two seat airplane. Limits the choices if you care about accuracy. If you don't care, you don't need to look only at F100 schemes.

I have been doing NASA Scale for 2 years now. And last month I flew my Carf Eurosport in the FunScale bracket. But as I have been told the rules. As this started as a Skymaster ARF it will only be able to fly FunScale. I got a Zirol P38 I fly in open wich is where you have to do at least 51% your self. That is were I could fly a BVM F100.

I got a Ziroli Panther with non panels line fuse in the build line and that one is considered a full build and can be flown in Sportsman class.

But it these are the only scale contest I know of Are there Any scale jet events?

You might want to get a second opinion on that. Skymaster "ARFs" (white) have competed at the highest levels. The issue appears to be semantics. What you have is a white skymaster kit, it is not an ARF as it is not painted.

It is a touchy subject so learn to use the right words, and don't try to pin someone down in writing and I think you will be able to paint that Skymaster kit you have an compete where you want in expert.

Yup, at least at Top Gun, a white SM is considered a kit...

Damo

Hi Damo, Just don't use this serial # It's already taken.

I'm guessing you have flown yours now?? Mine was certified a few weeks back. It flew well and only needed minor trimming. The Camo scheme is not that hard to orientate on, especially with the wing tanks..

Will you be bringing yours to Temora??
