Default Futura 2.5 landing gear

Trying to figure out if I need to order them from Tomohawk, or if I can get a setup (Elec or pneumatic) from Dreamworks or someone.
Thanks, Jay

If you are interested in something used I have a BVM Ultra Bandit landing gear ready to ship. Very reliable and strong. I believe can fit the futura. Maybe some modifications needed.

Thanks, how do you know they fit? Are the strut lengths correct? I'm possibly interested, but would much rather get the stock gear from Germany before spending that much on a chance that they may fit.

Keep it simple Jay and just decide if you want air or elec and order it with Tomahawk. You know its going to fit and the exchange rate is good right now to boot.

Personally, I started with air on my Futura and eventually switched to elec. Wish I had gone with elec from the start.

No, wish I had. I went with Down & Locked and although they work well, they were very expensive and took a long time.

I'm not sure what brand gear Thomas offers but you can check with Gotz at Vogelsang Aeroscale. I just received a set of Behotec elec gear for my Natrix and they look very well made.

Get it from Tomahawk. It works well and no issues.

Are you using the ER-50's with the original struts? Can post pics of how you managed the nose gear install?

No it's the entire Electron ER-50 set for the 2.5m Futura. Took minutes to fit, hardly any work at all.

Where'd you buy that setup? I contacted Dreamworks & was told they don't have a standard 2.5 Futura setup.
thanks Scott, I'll let you know.

Jay,

you can order directly at the factory ( https://www.electron-retracts.com/pr...ura-2-5-combo/ ), so did I. Had some problems with my controller originally, but these were sorted quickly. The support is top notch!

Rc-jets.com in Germany or direct from Electron as above.

Both answer emails quickly and are very helpful.
