Fall Jet Classic Oct 6-9
In just a few weeks the 2016 edition of the Fall Jet Classic will take place October 6-9th. We had 51 pilots last year, so it is nice size event that allows for plenty of laid back flying.
The host club is the Aeromodelers of Southern Indiana, and the field was built for turbine operation, and is an incredible facility. www.aeromodelers.org

one of the best flying sites ever.. but if you don't come thats ok, that leaves more time for us!!.. sun up to sun down flying.. did I mention the field is amazing.. Its smooth asphalt and putting green grass, with pavilions and charging power. Tents on site for storage, plenty of parking..
Did I mention its an awesome flying site?

There was discussion last year about keeping the event a reasonable size so everyone gets to do plenty of flying. To be honest, the then, current president and myself sent out an email to last years participants about making it invitational to keep the event under a certain size. But after hearing from many of the pilots that joined us we decided that was a bad idea.
I did send out an email, a few months ago,l to last years pilots, that it would be an open event, but I know how busy we all our and i guess that was overlooked.
There is plenty of room along the flightline for Easy Ups and we do still have 3 20 x 20 tents available. The tents must be pre-paid.
We have a block of room at the Best Western under "Fall Jet Classic" at $90/night being held until the 15th, after that they will start releasing rooms as needed. The number is on the flyer and on the registration site too.

The Fall Jet Classic starts in 10 days, the weather forecast is outstanding! Looking forward to seeing all of the pilots that attended last year and some new faces.

Sounds good Glenn. They are cutting the grass Today, Wednesday and Friday mornings to make sure the field is perfect for the event!
So in addition to the 800' x 50' smooth hard surface there will be a parallel, 1100' x 110' grass runway available. The corn was taken out recently too, so if your really gutsy you can do some nap of the earth flying out in front!
