I saw these on jetpower and I must say I'm impressed by the looks. Other known names showed foamies that did not look as nice. I don't know the turbine but the airframe looked super!

It's only a matter of time, but the draw to theses planes are there lower cost then composites, if they are to compeat they need to stay well below the composite.

I agree. The price needs to be low. If they get much higher than they are I won't buy them. I do appreciate the fact that it was their foamy turbine that allowed me to get into turbines. Gateway drug!

I think there's a big difference in foam density between the electric version and the turbine version. You might ask around before buying one on the cheap

I don't think Dragon is selling the HSD turbo jets anymore, but I could be wrong, GJC has the best one out there with larger stronger servos and redesigned airframe on the super viper that is not out yet, I think this will be V3. GJC was out at the last jet ralley with the F-16 and the super viper, both look much beefier then the V1 and V2

Global jet club , has different foam in wings , gear is made for a turbine and the wing gear blocks are different and stronger , has new voltage regulator , also had turbine mount and pipe upgrades . The servos are higher torque than the electric/ turbine one On the market

You may want to check your facts. HSD produces all of their kits the same. They don't make a special version for Global Jet Club. For the longest, GJC wouldn't even acknowledge that HSD made the "Turbo Foam" even though HSD is molded into the foam surfaces and into the woodwork. Global has made many attempts to justify their price adder for their kits but their isn't any difference from Dragon to GJC. One of the only benefits was that GJC serviced the Ace turbine. Now that Kingtech has lowered the price on the K60, why go with a new brand when you can get the K60 for the same or cheaper. My $.02

I beg to differ with you I have seen the other kits first hand and they are not the same . HSD does build the one for global and im not saying their hasn't been up grades from HSD , but first kits did not have the up grades . Tony builder stated that in his previous post also .which we saw the difference in two other HSD jets that was at the greater southwest Jet rally . One by global and the other was from Dragon . terry

Well it would be nice if the customer knew the truth about if there are different versions and which is which. Either way I could not see how to buy one from the Dragon Hobby Site

I just got off phone with Dragon hobbys. I saw the turbo foam jet at a jet rally and boy does it fly nice. I inspected the plane closely and there is a differance from the dragon hobby one. I noticed the aluminum controle horns asked dragon and they said "all" hsd planes are the same and all have plastic controle surfaces. Funny the GJC isn't plastic. GJC planes come with ACE when dragon come with swin. The landing gear even looks different. I'm getting the vibe that dragon sells a edf plane that has a turbine in it. And GJC redesigned the plane to be a turbine plane all around. Which would justify the price differance. I did take some close up pictures of the GJC viper if anyone has a dragon hobby Viper we can compare.
