I'm not running smoke in mine but I did add a main tank. It's 28 oz and sits under the intake extension.
The Vixen I built for a friend have a smoke system. It has 2 - 30oz rectangular tanks sitting just in front of saddle tanks.

Billy, How much flight time are you getting with Just the two saddle tanks?

I have smoke tanks in my Vixen, run (2) 24 oz. Dubro square tanks behind the main wing tube, lay on the floor under the kero saddle tanks. These are then plumbed to a header tank located ahead of the main wing tube, a single 20 oz. Durbro square tank located off to one side with the smoke pump located off center on the other side. Plenty of smoke with this setup. For kero tanks I only run the (2) saddle tanks, feed directly to my UAT, no issues at all, though with my 8 minute flight timer I am still landing with 1/3 tanks. Note timer started at beginning of takeoff roll, after 8 minutes setup for landing.

It's Jet-Tech fuel cell. Saddle drain it to main then to Uat. That's right. You're right in regards to air tanks. Smoke tanks are sitting one each side of main tank. Mounted flush to bottom of fuse just in front of wing tube.

Thanks Guys for the info. My Vixen Arrived at my house. Although I am half way around the world. Cant wait to get home and start working on her. Deciding which servos to go with MKS 777 or Savox 1230SG......HMMMMMMM Savox are cheaper and non HV not a big deal as I am a fan of Life batteries. Turbine will be ATJ 220SV which also arrived. Spektrum AR12300 for receiver Cortex Pro for Gyro, Jet Tronics retract and brake Valve

I agree with you, it is taking forever but we are working on the drop tanks and other updates, like nav lights and cockpit, actually I'd like to know who would be interested in all of this Vixen updates? Send me a pm to confirm.

I will have some information like dates for the updates next week.

Wagner no need for a PM as you know a single seat cockpit and drop tanks (as these were always on the cards) for me .

Those who do want drop tanks, cockpit and lights or any combination of these items do need to PM Wagner, to monitor quantities it needs to be managed and using the forum is not the easiest way.

So go ahead and PM away please.....
