I have not heard of anyone having problems with the factory UAT. I'm using the factory one in my F-16 as well. Wire tie all your connections to help prevent any issues at the connection points.

As Digital Pilot says... just wire tie all connections and make sure the fill plug is all the way in and sealed properly.,, I've had 13 flights since last week and all have been enjoyable...

I'm contemplating getting one of these, now that some have had them a bit and maybe have some flights. What's the verdict? How are they holding up? Would you buy another or again?

Thanks

I put another 5 flights on the F16 yesterday. 10 flights total now and its dialed in. Its a great little jet and a blast to fly. I really rang it out yesterday doing heavy maneuvers and slow hi alpha flights.

Got my pilot installed as well.....

well i have almost 20 flights on my viper, never got a flameout, or turbine problems, this kingtech are great engines, i have set 65% expo on the elevator to smooth things out, i fly almost 80 % at max, and get like 150ml on the tank , flying 5 min, the stock smoke pump its awsome, like you can see in the video this jet can handle big g forces, i have push it really hard and the the only thing i see fluttering are the wing on the dives, hope do not get some problems in the future.

Might have gotten one sold at the airfield today. We'll see if the guy bites when he gets home. Even offered to share my turbine oil and help him set it up to encourage him. I want to see one in person so fingers crossed....lol

Weekend fun.. This Little F-16 is a blast to fly! High AOA flight is easy and predictable. I really threw it around this weekend and it never skipped a beat.

Thanks again to Dirk and Barry @ www.pacificrcjets.com

I may have to save for a Super Viper once I get the Kingtech motor for the T-One.

I fly mine off a 300 ft paved runway regularly and have no problems; often landing and coming to a complete stop before the taxiway at center. I use an IAS telemetry sensor and find that the sweet spot for approach speed is 55 - 60 km/h. A little bit of crow mixing helps a lot.

Looking at picking one of these up and am wondering what is the best route transitioning from an FMS 1700 F4U corsair to one of these bad boys. Never flown edf only prop planes. Love the look and hopefully will eventually get me to my dream jet, F18C in time.

Are you looking at the turbine or the EDF version?

The Super Viper is a great flying jet that goes where you point it and lands relatively slow. If you're going EDF and are proficient with your Corsair it should be a fine transition. If you want to go turbine you should find an experienced turbine pilot to help.

I recently got the F- 16 and after extensively modifying it I just maidened her last weekend. Not the best of flights; I didn't like the way it handled, but a successful landing. Some tuning will be needed

As said, The Super Viper is a great flying jet. The K60 Package is very strait forward and would make for a good starter jet. If you build an EDF version of it the cost for a proper performance fan, ESC and Lipos will cost almost the same as the Turbine version.

No edf. I read the turbine thread which suggests to go with turbine if that is what your goal is as the edf and turbine respond differently. Yea talked to a few people and they recommend the epo Viper to use as a decent trainer for turbine jets. Thank you guys for your input.

I only mentioned the edf because I thought that is what you needed to do in order to move on to the turbine's. But in light of the turbine thread.... I will be picking one of these up to buddy box with at my local field.

Good day Sir.

I would first make sure there is no restrictions and or problems with the fuel system. Unplug the fuel line from the engine and place it in a cup, run fuel pump test to see if fuel flows.

If that dosent work than give Dirk @ Kingtech a call.

Hi Guy's,

I was wondering, does any one fly's the F-16 with the K45? (off grass??) How does it fly with the K45, to me it kinda looks underpowered.....

I'm considering buying one, but the point is, i don't want to invest in a K60 for the simple reason, what to do with a K60 after the Foamy is "in heaven".........

Cheers,

Ed

Why not get the K60? It's only 6 oz heavier than the K45 and gives you three more pounds of thrust. Seems like you'd have more airframe choices with the 60 than the 45.
