I don't know allot about the purple engines but if the size is about the same as a K45 or K60 it should work fine.

The P70 is too big and heavy for the 16.

Dirk, i have been interested in these aircraft since i first saw them.I know i will be ordering one someday. What bothers me is that i understand you have made hsd make improvements but have secured all shipments.I was going to get an order drop shipped direct to Australia.I hope we will still be looked after down under,we get screwed over enough as it is.

Call Dirk directly on an order. I think some are getting drop shipped direct to customers but you need to call him direct.

As Vincent stated, the P70 is way to big and heavy for these planes

I'm really interested in the F-16 with the K60G2. It looks really nice and the new updates they are doing look really good. This would make a great (After Work) flyer. The BEC and power board looks really cool. I might need one...

I'm also considering the viper in silver checker with K60G2.

Does the jet come with the turbine, ECU and pump already installed? Just drop in receiver ?

I don't think so. I ordered one direct from the factory and Dirk has told me it should be shipping soon but I received the turbine in a separate box already so at least the factory direct ones aren't pre-installed. I'm hoping it will already have the mounts setup so I can simply bolt the turbine in and run the plumbing but if I have to do a bit of tweaking that will be fine too. Hopefully I'll receive it soon and if anyone is interested I'll post some photos, etc once it shows up. I'm still trying what I want to do for batteries, etc as I would like to keep this as light as possible. I'm currently thinking of a pair of 1800mah 2S Lipos into one of the Powerbox dual switches. I've also bee considering a single, larger 2S Lipo and a BEC off of the 3S ECU battery as a backup/redundant power source but I haven't decided yet. After looking at the telemetry logs for my Avanti S and seeing how little current (max in flight was 1A, typically less < 500ma) it draws in flight I see no reason for lots of heavy batteries, etc. Simple redundancy will be fine with me. It will depend on what I can find to get what I want for the least amount of money.

When I received my f16 it came with no motor. The tailpipe and fuel system were all set up and plumbed. Installing the motor was a simple task.

Wayne, I'm not sure if the installed servos are HV so I think 6.6 is the max.. factory recommends 2C LiFe.

I will have the same setup as my mini Avanti S... One single 2100 3 cell LiFe feeding ECU and through regulator BEC (SBEC) feed the REX 12 receiver at 6.6V. I will install an MUI to measure battery usage/consumption. I have a second battery at field to change after 3 flights.

Also since there is no telemetry sensor for the new G2 ECU YET..... I will install a second MUI on the fuel pump and use that to get fuel consumption. I prefer to have the auto restart feature of the new ECU rather than go with the old Xicoy ECU and get full telemetry info...

Please do post pictures I like to see the inside..

The dual Powerbox switch I mentioned has 2, 4A regulators built in so they would put out 6V... So you are running the entire airplane off the 3S ECU battery ? I may use a MUI for fuel consumption as well but if they don't come out with a Jeti telemetry adapter for the new ECU soon I may design my own over the Winter. Hopefully when they do come out with one it will have a straightforward way, even if it's a second I/O line to reset the fuel used telemetry for when you're using a taxi tank.

Guys..This is right off the Pacific RC Site..

Pacific RC Jets recommends (3) KingTech 9.9 2100mah life batteries packsfor all of our EPO Jets. (1) pack is for the turbine operation and the other (2) Packs are for the flight systems. All EPO Jets come with the UBEC regulating system. The UBEC is a duel 9.9 input regulating system switchable from 5v to 6v for receiver power and the other output is 7.4v that plugs directly into the included mixing controller for the flight system, lighting system, retracts and brakes.

Hi guys,

Digital Pilot is correct, there is a power distribution board and I personally don't like anyone using LIPO batteries. I personally know 13 people that have lost planes, houses, cars, trailers to LIPO fires. Our 3S, 2100 MAH LIFE pack is the perfect compact size battery and should help when it comes to CG.

On another note, they are almost done building me enough planes to fill our container. They just sent me actual pictures of the finished Navy version Super Viper and my pre order customers should be receiving them shortly. I have to say, I think they did a Fantastic job on this paint scheme!!

HSD has been working diligently on this V3 version trying to make it everything and more than what you would expect!! They have been doing a lot of upgrades above and beyond the original V3 planned upgrades and that is why our container has been held up a bit. WELL WORTH THE WAIT!! The F-16 has had upgrades as well in the servo department and some other minor changes but not enough to call it a V3 version.

Regards,

Dirk

MIRAGE 2000

I was just sent some pictures of our Mirage 2000 and wanted to share.

They are also painting a Gray / Blue Camo version and I will post it as soon as they send them to me. I will be taking pre orders shortly for Direct Shipping. They are still testing and making small changes here and there to make sure they are offering a Quality plane that we all expect. It sounds like they have the details worked out and will be including a standard smoke system in this plane as well.

I could be starting a rumor, but I hear they will have an optional Thrust Vector Nozzle for the Mirage in the very near future.

Stay tuned for more updates!!

Dirk

I knew it had a UBEC but didn't realize it supported dual battery inputs so in that case I'll probably just use it instead of the Powerbox switch. My only motivation for using that was it had 2 inputs and was already sitting in mu parts box.

It appears they remove the cheater hole that the EDF version requires, that would be a huge improvement!

Dirk can you confirm this?

Hi Bob,

I apologize, I am not aware of the EDF version or the cheater hole as you put it, as we do not sell EDF and I never owned an EDF. I can tell you that the EDF version is nothing close to the Turbine version in construction or the type of EPO foam used, nor could the EDF version be converted to a Turbine version. I do get asked all the time why other dealers are selling the Viper much cheaper (EDF VERSION). This is like comparing a Yugo to a Corvette.... If you can show me or describe to me where this hole is, I can definitely inquire about it but I would assume the hole is not needed for a turbine.

Regards,

Dirk

Dirk,
I just looked at the third photo (side profile) on the EDF versions of this model there are a series of slots to help supply air to the fan. I do not see these slots so I'll assume they have been removed. You can see them in this photo I attached.

Ah, the intake designs are completely different on the turbine version vs the EDF, that is also why an EDF could never be converted to turbine.
