I used a sharpie to mark where the set screws that secure the steering pin to the strut are located. A flat spot is needed for these set screws so the strut and steering arm do not twist under load. Disassemble the steering arm and bearing and file a flat on the steering pin. I make my initial cuts with a Dremel tool then square off the edges with a flat file. Be sure to file flats for both the front and rear set screws.

Next I removed all of the screws holding the wheel halves together and then reassembled them with Loctite. I opted not to use the nylon material supplied to make the spacers for the nosewheel but used a set of custom sized wheel collars instead. The Nosewheel and spacers were then assembled with Loctite.

I removed each screw in all three retracts and reinstalled them using Loctite. This proved to be unnecessary since they came from the factory with Loctite. This is the first set of retracts in my 35 years of modeling where this important step was performed by the factory. Still I had to redo them all to ensure none were missed by the factory. None were!

Now to disassemble the main Struts. The springs on the struts are slightly stretched when the struts are fully extended so its important to disassemble them in the proper order to avoid damaging the screws or struts. First remove the C Clip as shown. Next put the strut in a vise. Now you can relax the spring pressure while removing the lower pivot bolt. Back on the bench you can safely remove the upper spring retaining bolt followed by the lower spring retaining bolt.

Now reassemble everything in the reverse order using Loctite on all the bolts. Also shown in this photo is the main wheel. Note that the screws securing the main wheel halves are T-8 Torks screws. Put all of those back in using Loctite as well.

Although I use a proportional brake valve, I always use a thin film of Polysi on my brakes to prevent them from locking up. I had previously used grease but one of you recommended the Polysi to me at one of the Jet rallies. Polysi is both slippery and sticky so it wont fling all over. Put the brake and wheel assembly on the strut and secure the set screw with Loctite.

Here is the completed Gear Package ready for installation. So far I am very impressed with the quality of the gear. The struts are very beefy, have tight tolerances and are beautifully finished. The retracts are very strong as well and the mechanics are super smooth. I have not pressure tested them so I don't know how well they hold air yet bet I suspected they will be leak free. I will be installing my Tamjets Gear Failsafe as an extra measure of security.

I have suggestion, make a direct drive steering modification, here is a link to my modification I made back in 2009, since then I made a few improvements, once you go direct drive steering you will never want a pull pull cable system again.
