God I hope not. I just emailed Linda for an update. It's been a week since I last asked. With no snow for snowmobiling, I need something to build!

Hi Bob.
As many as I can! But....I have a lot to balance between my Cessna, full scale aviation events my Harley, RC Warbirds and Aerobatic planes. I would love to go to KY but I cant get the back to back time off for that and Oshkosh and I have not missed Oshkosh in like 8 years now. Still debating that though. I need to see the 2017 list of events but I am thinking Highland Jets, All the Octurbofest events, Nighthawks and anything else that looks like a good venue that I am available for.

It has been a long day at work. I think I am going to relish in the idea of my new jet just waiting for me and unbox it in the morning. I'll be sure to take lots of pics. The build resumes Baby!

I was very impressed with how well the Flash was packed. There were foam bulkheads supporting the wing, the wing and stab were packed in their foam padded wings bags, the box was compartmentalized to keep everything secure and there was tons of bubble wrap. There was a packing list included to use to verify all parts were accounted for. So far I have not found any damage to the plane.

Here is a look at the wings out of the box. All parts were a bit dusty and I had not cleaned them prior to taking these photos. Taking into account that it is paint in the mold, the finish was good overall with some minor blemishes here and there . I did notice a little separation at the TE of one of my wingtips. I don't think that happened during shipping since these were well protected in foam. This should be easy to fix.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that all of the Control Horns have been Hysoled (?) into place. This is a huge time saver along with the one piece wing and "Live Hinging". What stands out most is how strong this wing feels when you grab hold of it. It built like a Brick $$$$ House as they say . Here are some photos of the internal structure. I was impressed by the thickness and quality of the wood and the perfect joints throughout. The only other ARF I have owned that seems to be this robust and with this level of quality construction was my Tam A-4.

Here is a look at the Stab. Again Strong as hell, live hinged with Control Horns glued in. That makes for quick assembly.

Here is a look at the fuse. The top seams on the nose and fuse were filled and painted! The bottom seam is still ugly as is the fin. I may do some airbrush work on this if I feel up to it.

Inside the fuse it was the same story as the wing and stab....Good quality wood, perfect glue joints and carbon fiber. Check out that thick carbon fiber doubler at the fin TE. The fuse feels very sturdy and you can handle it with firm hands with no fear of damaging anything. I recall punching my thumb through the top of one of my F-4 fuselages just trying to turn it over. None of that flimsy glass on this bird!
