Ok Kevin, you just can't throw out a teaser like that and not follow through.

What happened to your chute?

OK was flying and having a blast. When I asked my caller. Did I just loose a gear door. Came by on knifedge and said nope all doors there. Made a nice landing and hit the chute door and no chute. Then I realizes OK it was the chute and not a gear door. I have it attached with 5lb test fishing line. Perfect test to leave the plane if deployed during flight but strong enough to hold chute on landing

Once you put the tanks on you won't fly it w/o em again. She looks mean as hell.

Kevin, was it an accidental deployment (switch got flipped) or did it just get sucked out?

Yessir, I didn't add or subtract any ballast. The CG is larger than advertised. I recommend start at 300mm and adjust to your preference. Steve S ( I think that's his RCU name ) flies well aft of that if I remember correctly. Andy. Andrews and Dantlly ( dubd ) also have significant experience. Perhaps give them a jingle also.

Just be be sure to have solid mounting of pylons to wing.....it will scare the crap out of you when one of those tanks flies off inflight.

Will do. I plan to shoe goo and screw pylons to wing before tanks are mounted. Buck My CG is way back of that!!! Love it. OK then I will bolt tanks on and fly

NO accident. I just think I did not get door and lock lever into full closed position. Was flying and door opened by itself.

Good old Murphy got ya on that one I guess. I had a chute on an old DF Yellow A4 and the first time I deployed it on landing it ripped off, Haa!

I will check but I keep taking weight out of nose. I would say in the neighborhood of 345 to 350 back
