I think they made a A and G version.

Here is another pic of the 820 in what looks like a G version. I am sure it is possible that the 820 started out as an A model and was retired when the later G model was produced.

Wow! For some one who doesn't like painting you sure fooled me!! Lol. If your painting skills are that good, I can't wait to see more of your building skills! Very nice.

Haha! I just have a few dozen flaws to fix and I may be done with the fuse. I would guess 80% good, a little orange peel and few other flaws.

ok.... I got the fuse off the stick and back into the basement. I took some pictures that might better show how the mechanics work with the chute box and release.

Here is the tow release and servo... fairly straight forward. The servo is closer to the tail and release towards the nose.

shows the box, bell crank, linkage and box servo in closed position.

box in open position.... notice linkage and bell cranks.

The idea is to eliminate the air system except for the plunger. I didn't want a chance that the air would be lost and the door would drop open and chute sucked out. You can set up the bell crank and servo system so that there is a mechanical lock since the bell crank arms are vertical when closed.

linkage going down to the box from the bell crank. If you look closely you can see the tow release on the rear edge of the fuse. You can also see the notch in the top of the box so you have clearance for the chute cable
