I received supplemental instructions from Patty with that information...I checked it and it works great...Hoping to have the Turbine in this Saturday, then taxi tests at the airport. She's a beauty!

Guys, I just received mine and had a few questions:
1. The Fuse came assemble, are you guys taking it apart to check everything inside or just leaving it as is?
2. I plan on installing a P-200...are you guys using the Bypass? I know this turbine needs A LOT of air, so I am concerned with the bypass choking the engine.
3. Just a commit- Disappointed with the lame cockpit..at this price it should have functional MFD's.

I have not used the bypass with my PBS TJ-20 and have had no issues.

The P-200 is installed...going with the supplied bypass. My Canopy doesn't close correctly? The problem is the 2 locking pins pop out too early as the canopy closes, and hits the top of the fuselage causing it to interfere. I tried adjusting the servo speed (slower- faster), but the pins pop out too early. Servo operation of “opening” the canopy works fine. Anyone having the same issue?
I also checked the fuel tanks, the left main fuel tank was leaking when I did a fuel check.

Jake,
You must help the canopy close by hand. The drop in cockpit needs to be flush. I even opened the squares where the tabs go down into the opening for clearance. The canopy will close sometimes without the Cockpit but DON'T fly it with out checking it. I close mine just before taxi. I will open it after landing on the taxi back. I think BVM has a AD on the web site about this.
I had Zero issues with the tanks. I even pulled the pickups out and safety wired mine.

Looking at the pictures of your turbine I would also rivet the top of the bell mouth to the thrust tube to prevent it rotating. It is only held together by 2 small bolts with non nylon nuts which can easily come loose. I removed both of these (by the fixing tabs) and used small pop rivets to secure it along with one at the 12 o'clock position.

I have had no issues with the canopy but as Jeff says it is always best to ensure it is closed and locked by hand before flight. You might have to adjust the setting on the bar that pushes the pins forward as it sounds like it is slightly out, and is pushing the pins forward too early.

I checked my tanks and fuel system; didn't really find any issues - just stuff I preferred to change.
The cockpit securing pins are spring loaded and as the canopy raises pulls the release pins. As the canopy shuts (on mine) the release pins extend to hit the holes in the fuselage. Mine also extend slightly early but to be honest it's not an issue as I do physically push the canopy down at the last inch or so as I really want to be sure it's locked. It would ruin your day if it wasn't....

Hello. I want to share some photos and videos of my 1/5 BVM F16 maiden flight.
The takeoff was under normal light wing condition, wind aligned with the runway. During mid part of the flight the wind changed to be crossed completely and increased significantly. I did not have time to setup and dialed in the gyro so I decided to land without it, just on last part of final a wind gust moved the plane terribly but managed to control it and made a safe landing.

Here is my setup:
1. Receiver: first the new and recalled 20 channel spektrum receiver - Then a PowerBox Royal
2. Transmitter: first the new and recalled 20 channel Tx - Then my old DX18
3. Gyro: PowerBox gyro 3e
4. Engine: JetCentral Mammoth SE
5. I decided to change all the servos (except the front wheel steering servo) to Savox 2270.

Revoc is probably the best source and Nir Schweizer is right there on the East Coast is the USA guy. I had mine made by "Jackie Saks" and the lady does really nice work at a fair price but it's pretty damn hard to get her to do stuff these days.... lol

Did a maiden yesterday with no issues....Setup is with a Futaba 12FG, and Jetcat P-200. It was a very conservative first flight but she felt great! Can't wait to start ringing this Viper out!

I have deployed them in flight and didn't notice much if any extra drag. I help a friend this weekend at a event with the T-birds 1/5th SM and he told me the same thing when I asked him about his. He didn't notice any changes in flight.
I have landed mine with them out and watch him do the same. I prefer not to use them on landing due the chance of scrapping one and the plane is very draggy in landing configuration so they are not needed to slow down.
Oh yes congrats on your flight. Hope to see you in person soon.
Are you going to First in Flight in Wilson NC next month?
