Since you're tracking some Canadian events in this thread, the Ottawa Valley Jets event at the Carp Airport is Saturday June 17th with 2 more days at the Phelan RC Flying club (30 minutes away) on Thursday Jun15 & Friday June 16, making this a three day event.

"First in Flight" Jet Rally
May 24-28
Wilson Industrial Air Center, Wilson NC
Wilson is without a doubt one of the best venues in the country to fly at. Add to that a 4500’ X 150” runway, large hanger for overnight storage, great camping facility right at the airport, shopping, hotels, restaurants and much more within 5 minutes of the airport and you have one great event! Better yet, it’s just 3 short miles off interstate I-95 !!!! Last year’s event saw over 130 pilots from all around and we’re looking to top that again this year.
● Flying times will be extended even more! Beginning at 7:00 AM and running until 7:30 PM.
For Hotel Information, just click on the NavAir link below. Scroll to the bottom of the page for a complete list along with web links to the hotel itself. There is also a second Hampton Inn located even closer to the airport that we'll get info posted on soon.

http://www.airnav.com/airport/W03

Where is Wilson, NC?

It couldn't be more centrally located on the Eastern seaboard! As the picture below shows, it's about right in the center of I-95 between Boston and Miami. And it's also not that far off of the main East-West US artery, I-40. So it's an easy drive from most major eastern cities. And there's no back road jaunt to get there since it's right along the Interstates!

Attached Images

Our Wilson Industrial Air Center event site gives a whole new meaning to the term "WFO".

And our 4500 x 150 foot main paved runway is smooth, flat, and wide.

This is more of an open to all invite than an actual event. For now
I'm going to try to drum up some people at Coachella in a couple weeks and then at Tucson in March.
I'm working on trying to get a deal with the Nugget right off of Pyramid Highway.

High Sierra Jets April 7-8 and the 9th for anyone who wants to fly Sunday

Runway is 620X70 paved with a small cross runway (290X50).
Covered area, a lot of workbench space BUT no power though.
It's only $20.00 for both days, or $10 for one day for non-members to fly.
Dry camping is allowed at the field, and there are plenty of Casino and other hotels within 15-30 minutes of the field. There is food and a store about 10 minutes away.
One hole campground type toilet on site.
No restrictions or obstructions, wide open skies
Average temps in the 70's with low winds that time of year.
Looks like temps in the 50s and clear to partly cloudy.
AMA and Turbine Waiver REQUIRED.[/FONT]

Email: desertlakesflying@yahoo.com to RSVP if you can make it please
http://www.renorcclub.org/

More directions:
Take Pyramid Higway (SR445) north to Eagle Canyon Road and turn left (approximately 5.5 miles from the McCarran and Pyramid intersection). Then follow Eagle Canyon Road up the hill past the schools and continue on until you reach the Indian Colony. Continue on the main road through the indian colony until you come to the dirt road. Stay to the left as you enter the dirt road and follow that until you cross the cattle guard. After crossing the cattle guard take the main dirt road to the left. Do not follow the power lines. The main road is well taveled, and usually reasonable for even cars. Follow that road about a mile and the field will be on the right. You will see the windsock as you approach. Please watch for speed limit signs on the Indian land. 45 after you cross into the Indian Colony, and it drops to 35 after you come around the bend at the bottom of the hill.

The best address I have is 9075 Eagle Canyon Drive, Sparks, NV 89441 That should get you to the entrance to the Indian Colony on your gps or phone maps.

I haven't heard anything yet but the website says "Dixie Jets" 05-19 - 22, 2017". I rarely get to a club meeting as it's almost three hundred miles down there for me, so I do not know who the new Club President is for this year that you might contact.

I'll see if I can find out anything else.

The members of the Wings Miniature Aircraft Society of Lubbock, Texas are happy to announce this years West Texas Jets event. Its all happening at a different time of the year (NOT in October) and is coming soon! The NEW time is June 23rd and 24th, 2017.

Lets face it, a lot of flying sites just arent cut out for jets! You know what I mean? The Wings Miniature Aircraft Societys club field in Abernathy is PERFECT for jets and was really built around being as jet friendly as possible. Its BIG, has a GREAT paved flying surface and has absolutely NO OBSTRUCTIONS to avoid! If youre new to jets, this is the field to boost your confidence, to relax and have fun with your aircraft. If you havent been back to our Abernathy flying site in a while, youll appreciate some of our newest upgrades! We have a large shade awning, an on-site generator and hard-wired 110V outlets throughout the pit area and chain-link fenced pilot stations for your safety. We also welcome all EDF pilots, too!

The best thing about West Texas Jets is the friendly, fun atmosphere that West Texans are well known for. Leave the crowded flight lines and waiting to other events! Youll get plenty of flying time, we promise. Follow the latest news at the Wings Miniature Aircraft Society FACEBOOK page. We ask that you LIKE and SHARE our activity there and encourage you to share this WT Jets information with your friends and flying buddies.

Thanks for your consideration and we sincerely hope we see you in June!

The weather is looking awesome for Saturday and Sunday! Sunny, 80 degrees, and low winds.

We plan to fly all day Sunday as well so if you've been on the fence come join us!

This will be a very informal fliers event. First come first served parking spots. $25 pilot fee. $25 parking for RV/campers includes use of 30A power.

Show up and fly! AMA required, of course.
