Awesome, thanks for the info.
Any plans for an A-7D or K, lots of fans of this jet and the K model lets you get all the way up to recent use by the Greek air forces. Would be cool since you have conquered the harder of the two already!

Possibly, at some point.
But we are way too busy with other projects at the moment.

Multiple ejector rack with 4 Mk-82 500lbs bombs.

This rack can take up to 6 bombs.
I'll let you imagine how the Crusader is going to look like with 12 MK-82 and 4 Sidewinders...

Multiple ejector rack with 8 bombs, in the 3 types that the Crusader could carry.

2 Mk-82 port, 2 Mk-83 starboard and 2 Mk-84 on the lower mounts.

And here is a picture of the MER plug.

Thanks.
I am quite happy to see how the pylons came out once fitted on the plane.
I had the pylon side view blueprint, but not the cross sections. I think I got the shape of the pylon front pretty close. It is not as obvious as it might seem on that plane.
Next stuff will be to 3D print the different fuses options and fins, then off for a Olive Drab painting session!

Default Oh noooooo.......A-7K

The “K” model? YGBSM.....nooooo.....hack patooie.....no self respecting A-7 pilot.
That POS was a solution in search of a problem, I’d rather 200lbs more gas or ammo.

Amazing picture!

I am surprised to see that the nomenclature was in black over and engine grey paint.
What squadron was this?

Hi Oli.
That picture is Summer of 1986 with the 188th TFS New Mexico Air National Guard. Callsign “Taco”.
The USAF A-7 subdued paint scheme’s during that time all had black nomenclature lettering........wraparound Euro camo color.

Default Demo flight

Hello Andy. I’ll tell you what, nothing is better than first hand experience. Come see me at Florida Jets, MAB or Jets over Kentucky and I’ll let you fly it and see for yourself! Just be sure to bring some cash because you are going to like it! : )

Hope to see you there!

Hey Woody, I would love to I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply that your model doesn't fly good. I meant to say that the air frames I've seen fly didn't fly that well IMO. I'm sure your's flys awesome. I would like to see it though. I'll be at MAB and JOK this year. Hopefully I'll get to see it.

The A-7 is definitely "on the list". Problem is the list is so long. There are just so many cool planes and it takes so long to bring a proper scale model that flies well to market. But one day......... : ) First, the Demon! I can't wait for that one. Great ancestry as the predecessor to the F-4 Phantom. Tons of cool paint schemes that are colorful and a very rarely modeled subject even by scratch builders. With the wide track main gear it should handle great on the ground and it has a ton of wing area so it should fly great. Can you tell I'm excited?

Wasn't the -K the two-seat variant?

But I will say, I like those schemes for my JHH A-7D version.

Yes, the K is the two-seat version. Thank goodness they didn't start making those until after I quit flying them. All my 1300 hours were "solo". Right now this is the only jet I would start as a new project. Just can't get excited about those that have been done over and over or any of the ARF sport jets out there. The Crusader is fantastic and comes close but, not quite for this A-7 driver.

Fake news....you were never that young. I would love to see a nice A7 kit. I had a JHH but it was way too small. Sold it before it ever flew.

I liked the size of the FEJ A-7 but that was it! As a kid I would always break my neck at the A-7 on gate display at Cecil Field back in the day, cool jet! Looks really cool with bombs and wing tanks on it!

You know you're getting old when the jet you flew is on a pedestal for display. Thanks for reminding me Keith!

I actually tried the JHH A-7 with electric power. I loved the SEA scheme because it was modeled on one I had flown several times. Unfortunately, it was just too small and not structurally up to the weight of the setup. It didn't last long.
