Replacement tires for Behotec UL gear
Hello guys,
i have a few friends locally with Behotec Electric gears for Ultra Lightning.
most of the sets (not all) came with Dubro lightweight tires, absolutely UN FIT for the application - way too soft (see attachment).
does anyone know 4.5" harder tires that could be a direct replcamanet to Dubro? in order to change just the tire and not the rim / brake?
thanks.

Hi i3dm
The UL really is suppose to have 4.25 diameter tires, but I went ahead and installed 4" diameter tires on my 2 UL and the .125 difference to the side is not noticeable. The tires are made of really durable rubber that I have gotten hundreds of landings with. Are you sure you need 4.5" tires? I'm surprised they would fit in the wheel well! You might be better off to go ahead and purchase the rims to fit the 4.25 tires since that is what diameter CARF suggested using in the manual

Ya know I went and checked on the internet and typed in CARF UL manual and it does say the largest tire to be used could be the 115mm tires so I was wrong about that! But I do know that the original tires on my first UL had 4.25 dia. tires and I switched them over to 4.0 dia. tires for my new jet. You could call Altecare Moday and ask them if your rims would fit the 4.25 tires they sell. I really don't know for sure but they might! I still have my manual in my shop and see if it says 4.5 also but it probably does too.

I went out to my shop and measured the inside dia. of a new set of tires and there is a lip on the inside of the tire The largest dia. is 1.830 and the dia. on the lip is 1.4' . I have a brand new set of electric Behotec that these tires go on and this is the dimensions of the I.D. of the tire. They are split rims used for this tire

Sorry but I don't know how to post pics on RC Universe but if you email me your phone # I can do it with my phone. My email address is [email protected] I went to Altercare website and if you click on wheels and tires they show the exact tires I have and it also says that all tire sizes fit there rims They call them 37 mm rims if that helps

I am not a fan of these soft Dubro tires, I do not know why Behotec even ventured in using them, they are too soft, they wear out quick and not suited for heavy jets.
We have proper tires but unfortunately you will need to replace the rims with the Behotec rims. Pictures loaded are samples only.
If you cannot find tires, let me know so we can get you rims/tires.
We have 100mm, 110mm, 120mm, 130mm, and 140mm tires/rims
Thanks
