You'll just have to try it and see. They don't feel any different to the 12x's to me but, everyone is different. I also fly with a Jeti DS-16 which of course has real trick gimbals with hall sensors on them and I honestly cannot feel a difference to them either. I'm a thumbs flyer though and maybe that makes me less sensitive.

Still buying DMSS gear every chance I get for my 28X. Still using my 12X for over a dozen aircraft.
Its a question of comfort and feel, not about gimmicks or having the latest greatest, wannabees.
DFA will get my full support. Status of JR Prop?...hopefully alive and well in the hands of DFA.

No “issue” per se. Its just if you put an 18” pointer on a servo arm and test center and trim step =1 movements you will find a huge difference in the “old” JR servos versus newer generation ones. They are as good as other high end servos but not as good as they used to be when it was “old” JR.

I tend to think the JR we knew and loved is gone for good. I’m sure the “new” JR will be good stuff and and I wish DFA all the best. I hope they restore the good JR name. As for me ... I’ve moved on but would consider buying servos if they prove to be high quality.

In general for all of these newer, high end, high torque servos ... I HATE the over temp/amp protection they have. Some seriously bad things can happen as a result in my opinion. They all seem to have it now so no way around it. I preferred the “fight like hell til it burns up” approach.

Take care-Mike O.
PS From what I see on the DFA fb page, they are testing the new models heavily so far before release.

Default Jr Americas

Jeremy,
I dropped my XG14 onto my shop floor and broke top 2 switches a couple of weeks ago. Sent to JR America’s on a Friday and had it back the the following Saturday. They were very professional, helpful and had quick service. They upgraded the software and did a full test. I couldn’t have been happier. Send them an email, they answered me within an hour.
Take care,
Ron

Jtec now has JR/DeeForce JR radio stuff shown in stock. 11 ch TX and the new even/odd rx's. Show a lot of servos coming soon . Maybe JR isn't dead yet.

It seems DFA are making excellent progress. They now list an excellent range of receivers and servos, all X bus compatible and at excellent prices , too. They have just finished setting up their new facility in Champaign, Il.

Things are looking increasingly good for we JR users.

it's too bad the 28X is finished . i sold all my JR stuff , including my 28X because i don't want to deal with having to deal with this again hopfully for a very long time. i moved over to jeti and so far the support has been the best. good by JRA ,

We simply don’t know if the 28x is finished, mine is working perfectly as are lots of others. It is a superb radio and if it lasts as long as my numerous other JR transmitters it will last for many years.

I have JR transmitters dating back to 1980 which still work perfectly.

My my bet is that D FA will bring it, the 28X, back.

Lets not be so b...... negative!

Negative? ... Negative is when a company like JRA knows there's a big problem coming and continues to hide the facts and lies to customers , then sells them a 2,700.00 radio . it's not the equipment that's the problem , it's knowing who to trust. good luck getting a replacement battery for the 28. i loved mine and thank God i did ok selling it.

yeah i get that. i was just venting about my negative experience in general with the whole company/JR thing through JRA . Here's the story.. i bought the 28X and i was king. go to get ANY help with it and nothing . i kept getting the " deer in the headlights" help.i would get handed off to team members that would try to help but knew little more than i did . it wasn't their fault as they were trying to get up to speed like all new owners. my beef was with JRA. they never received any instruction from JRpropo but yet went ahead and released a highly advanced radio to us to figure out on our own. really? 2,700 and i can't get any help? then came the problem with getting equipment. Always " out of stock" or Be in stock in a few weeks etc. then came the collapse of the company surrounded by uncertainty ,so i had enough. i'm glad their back and i hope the quality will return with it. i wish only the BEST for JR. i had to cut my loses and go to Jeti. maybe after some time passes and my confidence returns ,then i may consider going back. but for now i'm staying clear of all the mess .
