Fabricated a simple vertical stopper above the fuel tanks, to keep them from moving upwards.
(didnt want to glue tanks to bottom of fuselage, although its a simple possibility).

Any chance for scale jets like t-50 golden eagle or F-18 with similar size as these new offerings?
Sorry offtopic.

Main equipment tray is very big and spacious, i cut it in half to allow easier disassembly. i also primered it Grey.
Fuel tanks have anti slip velcro between them, and are held down from top with a plywood bracket which i fabricated.

My order from Emcotec came right on time with the DPSI RC Mini 5 Magic.
This, coupled with the Cortex Pro, would make a high power, 12 channel SBUS2 telemetry capable setup with servo matching! all out of a single R7008SB Rx!

I have covered the tail section harnesses with heat protective sleeves, and routed them in tail section.
while at it, installed the permenanat connectors for tail section (elevator and rudder servos) and the rear plywood former (that holds the pipe) + AB LED ring.

Sounds Good and promising.
A large Bf-109 G , Fw-190 D9 from warbirds are on my list. Also jets of course, but mainly a bit newer generation of jets. And back to interesting topic!

Front tray making some progress, and cockpit test mounting after front tray components have been installed - ALL A-OK !!

As a power system i have chosen the Emcotec DPSI RV Mini 5. should be a great combo with the Cortex Pro!

CG was check for 210mm and i found that i had to install all 3 batteries in the nose:
1 x 2S 5000mah Lipo for turbine
2 x 2S 2200mah Lipos for Rx

and also about 240g of lead weight.
on my next Odyssey install i will mount the UAT further forward and require no ballast!

I wrapped all 3 packs in heat shrink together and they are inserted as one block and velcroed to nose cone bottom from inside.

She flys great !!

This morning in Mevo Horon, 2 wonderful maiden flights to the Top Rc Odyssey sport jet.
im happy to say the model flys very well, and with a few small setup tweaks im sure we will have a serious winner here!

Odyssey by Top RC
ATJ 140SV
DPSI Mini 5 Magic by Emcotec
Cortex Pro by Bavarian Demon
UAT and fuel fittings by FCT
Blue-Bird BLS-3507 servos all around.
Futaba 18MZ radio with my own Turbine telemetry
Had lots of fun, cant wait to fly it again!
Special thanks to:

Thanks for the info.
How would you compare the quality and flight characteristics of the Odyssey and the T-1 you built. I noticed you fly them the same way, very relaxed and slow. When you fly the Ultra Flash you fly it like a scolded cat but these last two models are being flown with a lot of poise and grace. Are these models not designed for the kind of stresses you put the Ultra Flash through? The Odyssey reminds me of a Habu 32 which is a slick airframe and those same dark red and black colors make it hard to see (at least for me) In your video It only stood out on your slow and low passes otherwise all I was seeing was the profile of the aircraft.
Last question, how hard/easy or is it even feasible to transport this aircraft as a two piece fuse? One you arrived at the field, would you struggle getting set up for flight?
Thanks for the build thread. Your thread will probably have some people taking a hard look at this bird.

That is actually a great question and i am very happy you asked!

The T1 / Odyssey are in fact different from the UF.
The UF is designed to withstand extreme loads, and flys completely different then these two. Faster and heavier. A 2.4m odyssey weighs nearly the same as a 2.1m UF!

The T1 and Odyssey are more of the modern style sport jets, for more "floating", slower precise aerobatics.
While both are quite capable of flying fast, they are not a UF in that sense. The odyssey is faster than the T1 though.

With that being said, the flying i do with both is where i feel comfortable, part of the UF speed experience is that i never felt comfortable flying slow aerobatics with it (did like the high speed stuff!), while with these the more graceful flying feels right at home. So naturally this ia where my flying style goes when i fly them, and im very happy with this transition.

Another reason for at least the Odyssey flying being a bit more cautious in these videos is that these are just the first 2 maiden flights, of a new model i dont know well yet, and is not yet 100% tuned (CG, control throws) to my liking. So once i get a few more flights in, i will surely make more videos, of higher speed flying also.

Bottom line, they are all great models, the odyssey is much bigger than the UF, feels much lighter, and easier.
If you want to fly like a scolded cat, get a UF and if you want a larger, easier floatier sport jet with great capabilities (significantly cheaper too) get the Odyssey.

About the 2 piece fuselage, while i didnt build mine as a 2 piece design, im sure that if you do, it will be very easy to assemble.
The 2 piece fuse assembles together with 6 M6 screws and you can build the entire fuel system on the back fuse, with only electrical wiring connectors at the joint.

Thank you for the feedback, i do appriciate it very much, and look forward to enjoying this new exciting jet and sharing the results
