Without his efforts (Esprit has done all the FCC work and absorbed the cost) North Americans would not have the choice of using the best system available. You have to give him credit for that so, for those efforts, I support him.

Still waiting for this Spektrum grief you speak of. It must be where ever my white privilege is....

Start looking at what brand radios people are holding when they crash planes on YouTube videos... More often than not it is NOT a Spektrum radio. But it is a .... ..... just saying.

It's hard to argue against all the good things Jeti has going for it. Just maybe the less than stellar salesmanship on this side of the pond?

The word I heard is that Spektrum/Horizion will be releasing replacement powersafe receivers for the ones affected by the recall in May with a new model/part #...

That is all....

How did we get from a simple informative post about a current Spektrum recall to a Pi**ing match about Fly Eagle and things 99% of us are not privy too ?

" These days, they are a different company in a different world, they are in big trouble, have let go about thirty percent of their staff."

" Horizon was actually acquired by a bank they owed money to a few years ago, They tried to tell everybody is was something different, but the bank they owed put one of their bankers in charge of Horizon, and he is still laying people off. Almost nobody left in product development, no surprise that the current Spektrum offerings have issues."

Mr. Insider, If what you say here is true, How come I'm on hold with Horizon Product Support as I type and the recorded message talks about " Interested in helping others have fun with their hobbies, Check out our career page, for current employment opportunities, HorizonHobby.com "

My comparison was based on 4 DX18s that had to be returned because of screen failures. That shouldn't happen to any radio regardless of cost.
Holy cow something me and Dubd agree on! Today was the first time i read through this thread since im not affected by this recall, but wow.
I know everyone has their brand but any good vendor should let the product do the talking always! Futaba may be slow to push things out but the generally do catch up and they have been around a long time. I think my F18 mz is a great radio, heck it should be obsolete its been out for years. The core things in the radio, like internal parts, programming and feel are whats important to me. Telemetry is nice but to be honest, the only thing I want it for is fuel telemetry, nothing else really does anything for me. I dont need airspeed, alt or voltages to fly, heck when I tried all of that I found myself not paying attention to the flight as much, it took away from the enjoyment since I kept waiting for a something to buzz or an audio. Any product can have issues but its more important to see how they fix it, they could have just let it go and fixed the problem without letting folks know.

I don't know anything about the above statements and the closest I ever got to being a rep was wearing a T-shirt. I never received a dime from fej or gjc, but when both started doing people wrong I removed myself from the team. I believe if you own a business or sell a product you should stand buy the product and fix things that may come up and do buy right by the customer. The only reason I tolerate the quality issue in the Jets I buy is because there is no other option.
I am glad they recalled the receivers before people lost money from crashing, that's a good thing.

its real hard to take anyone seriously when they don't disclose who they are. To throw dirt all over and be anonymous is a real low move. Kind of like keying someones car instead of facing them face to face....

Regardless of Dantlys plane fly eagle where using improper build practices. You don't secure bolts through honeycomb without special precautions. It might be tight today but in a few flights it will work its way loose. Improper way to build period. No need to even bring them up anymore and its not even supposed to be in this thread anyway.

Notice how ZB got really quiet. Because all these years, the truth had been kept hidden. He knows it's the truth, he's not denying it.
Maybe both these fellows just have too much class to reply to an anonymous internet troll. Both of them clearly identify themselves......you haven't.

Spot on. Insider, you joined this month, 20 odd posts.
You libel a member who does more to help his customers than most in this trade, and generally come across as someone I'd hesitate to invite to a party...

Perhaps you should learn to think twice, type once...

In here I hoped to gain some insight on current Spektrum issues whatever they may be, and was looking for user/field reports on the various transmitters. Instead I learned nothing and it degenerated into a troll feeding party as everyone has pointed out. Next..

To the trolls and incessant grudge bearers - don't read, don't care, and I hope mommy changes your diaper soon.

I was told by a HH tech/product support, while getting my shipping label, that there was a problem with some of the electronic components inside not being able to handle the amperage being put to them. They already had people in China to work the problem and expected to have the new/improved 12 channel out asap, as in, this month.

We'll see, but I'm not swapping to a company that has less radios out there but are in the hands of most people with crashes, dumb thumbs or otherwise, on YouTube videos over a simple recall where they are doing the right thing without argument.
