Nice flight of the F18 by Ali. It also looked like juan pablo montoya a ex F1 driver was standing next to him which is pretty cool

Windy most of the morning, flying really picked up after lunch. There was some carnage, one that made me really sad was Gunradd's 18 went in and burned.

Man I know he's sick, such a beautiful jet and I wouldn't wish losing a model on anyone. Do they know what caused it?

"F4 nosegear"

Why not just 3D print an outer scale detail for this minimum required functional gear?

There is a video of the F-18 crash, from the video you could see the wings, the flaps look to be up. Im not sure if he was fighting it the entire flight but it looked like something was wrong from the get go. Terrible to watch after seeing how real it looking taxing out.

So sad to see such a beautiful hornet gone. Hornets are my all time favourite. I am just wondering if a jammed servo, horn, surfaced caused a burned wire and short over the duration of flight with sudden battery power gone and lost of all torque on rest of servos.

I looks out of control on takeoff and pilot did extremely good job getting it straight and level.....but inside things were cooking......

Just my take on this sad sad end to a spectacular hornet....

It looked like a gyro problem to me. Kris was working on set up just before the trip to the show according to his post.
Was this in fact the maiden flight?

Really sucks, sorry to see it go in.

Not the maiden. He flew the plane prior to Fl Jets.

Seems he had a flame out on the test flight, same side too. Does it not have rudders? I would have landed on that first pass!

Really weird what happens at 2:10... he'd been fighting uncommanded yaw to the right the whole flight, then it suddenly kicks to the left and starts flying properly... Perfectly aligned on the descent, too bad it stalled on the recall shortly after

Sorry to see this, as my friends here say... 加油 !
