Reading this thread I was hoping they had their act together to put pressure on other manufactures to bring the price down. Looks like its the same old stuff. Problem is that's just what we can see. What is hiding inside the wings and tail on the spars and anti rotation pins?
I have a snake camera that I could use to see inside the wing. I'm like you I would like to see the price of others to come down. I wish I could afford them but I can't. I'll take look at the gear section you guys are talking about. But I have to say the guide pin moves smooth in the tracks. I don't feel any slop.

The brass tubing is 1/4 outer and the tubing is about the same for inner. I want to make sure that going from tank to tank the flow is smooth.

So the tanks are good to go. Fixed a couple of pin holes. Now I'm dry fitting everything in the engine area. Once all is good and we're I want it, I'll clean it up and secure in place.

Hey Joe. Question here from Colombia. I have read in other threads about poor building techniques in the stab section. I have read about stab coming loose during flight. What are your thoughts now that you have the new version ? Thank you

based on what I have read before and now having the new version the stab section seems very solid. Before, the center rail section was not aluminum. The glue joints inside was not too good. Now granted I cant see inside the stabs now but I am thinking of cutting a small whole and using a snake camera to see. I also did a little pressure test to see if I could see a lot of flex or movement and I didn't see or feel anything. I wasn't worried about messing it up bc I could always order another stab.

Okay well I don't have new pictures to post yet but I did get the new parts in to fix the items that we identified. I'm in the process of using them as templates.

Just a thought, if you can obtain another stab, it might be money well spent if you buy one just to open up and inspect. It might completely destroy the part, but the peace of mind you will have is priceless.

You know that's a good thought. I wouldn't think a stab would cost that much. I may look into this.

Here are the connections for the right and left wing. I was going to use the emcotec PWC4 Power servo connectors but realized that they Share both the power and ground leads. Well that wasn't going to work if I also hooked up my lights on the same connection. So I used the ones from ultimate Jets which I used the 10 pin connectors which allows for two servos and two lights.

Got a little more done on the Hawk. It's been a bit from the last time I posted. I hate how I can only add a few pictures at a time.

Got a little more work done on the Hawk today. I took the cockpits appart and repainted them to match the inside of the fuse. I also got my cg measurements and pretty much have my front tray laid out and placed. Now just have to start working on the servo wires and getting the ends put on them.

Joe, can you post a pic of the elevator linkages? Saw something on another Hawk that had me concerned.

i know what you mean. I made the wood chuck long enough so that it will fit and model. The next item I'm going to add on the wood is angled wood blocks about 6 in long on both sides and each end so I can keep the model from moving. Now the angle blocks will be able to move to make wider or smaller depending on the wheel size. This equals perfect measurements 😊

Here's a little more done. Now I need to work on custom length cables to keep it nice. I also got the top light connection done. Also one of the cockpits are done. Front nose light is in waiting for the glue to dry.

So I have placed the front tray in and now starting to get all the wires cut to the proper length. It's almost I love hate with putting on the connection ends I hate it at the same time I love making it look nice. Also I'm thinking of cutting the ends off the gps, and speed sensor so I don't have a big wad of wire rolled up at the front. After all that's done, I'll work on setting the throws and etc. then comes the cortex pro.
