Its been a great jet for me and I love it! I have a Kingtech 120G2 in it and it pushes it very well. I will post another video soon from last weekend.

Check out this video from the Coachella jet jam

Looks good. I love my sparrow just having trouble slowing it down enough to land. When I come in for landing its nice and smooth it's just coming in too fast. Have to work on keeping the nose up and not letting it drop.

Hmm, where is your CG set? Also how much flap and crow are you running?

Mine slows down very well.

I have the CG and flap set per what Pacific Jets website recommends. I am not running any Crow. The jet slows down really good it's just my dumb thumbs and brain that is having trouble bringing the jet in slow. Like I said I come in fine and then I let the nose drop on Final causing the jet to speed up. Just have to learn the airframe and the jets flying characteristics to make my Landings better.

Cool. That's a good looking scheme. You should post pics of it when you get it and pics of you building it.

Default Sparrow Jet

I usually a kind of loosely structured build thread, as time permits...

Power will be a Merlin 140XBL

Let me know how the Merlin 140 is power-wise. my 160 seems like it's possibly too much power.

...I have Just finished build for my SPARROW ... With the given CG ..I find it is very tail heavy ... With 3 battery at the battery bay ...It still need about 680g of weight to balance it . I weight the cg with the given wood pannel... Any owner of the SPARROW can give some advice ... Thank you ..

PacificRCjets parted ways with the manufacture of the sparrow due to poor building practices on a different model. Many other better flying sport jets on the market anyway.

Was this one of the models that were part of an ‘ownership of design’ discussions a while back?
