Default Pacific RC Jets 2.1M Sparrow, Sneak Peak

Hi All,

I just received a few pictures of our Prototype, 2.1M Sparrow Sport Jet and wanted to share. This plane was designed by Barry Hou with the finishing help from John Yi at Aviation Jets. We are getting very close to putting the Sparrow in the air for its maiden flight. As soon as we have it completely tested, and have it dialed in, it will go into production and it will be available very soon. The plane is a full composite air frame, Carbon fiber reinforcing with Aircraft grade Plywood and the control surfaces are all live hinged. The Sparrow will come with air retracts, (Electric retracts are available as an upgrade option). It will come with the thrust tube, hardware, Kevlar Split Fuel & Smoke tank and have the channels and pockets in place for an optional light kit.

You can find more information at www.pacificrcjet.com

Cheers,

Dirk

The control surfaces look large - can you possibly do some tight rolling circles with this aircraft?

Not that I am spreading rumors, But with the large wing & tail surfaces, and the large control surfaces, I asked our factory to design an optional thrust vectoring system for the Sparrow. Should be Very Agile and a whole lot of fun to fly!!

It will take from the K100 to K140 for fantastic Sport Jet flying
K140-K160 when the Thrust Vectoring is being used... For Ultimate fun flying!!

Nice looking sport jet, after building a 2.5m viper I decided that's a nice size model for an everyday flyer. I love big jets but I can easily see myself getting away from the large stuff when I'm older or when I hit another burnout point.

Update on the Sparrow,

We maidened the Prototype last week and Barry had a great time with it, as you can see in the you tube video. I never claimed to be a video expert so I apologize for the quality, Where is Patrick, AKA SWAT, when you need him, lol.

Barry set it up with a K120G2 for testing and you can see it is plenty of push for this bird, yes I went there, and pardon the pun!! Barry has been talking with our factory about making more upgrades and improvements, not that it needs any, but for those of you that know Barry, he is a bit on the perfectionist side. When Barry is done putting this plane threw its paces and making his tweaks, it should be one of the finest Sport Jets on the market and then everyone benefits from his hard work!! I will keep the updates coming. If all goes well, we should go into production by June. The Sparrow should make it's debut at the Grandest Event, JOK.

Stay Tuned,

Dirk

Build is going fast. Not allot of time to post here with the big rush. Very happy with the quality. Top notch. They even have high flow fuel fittings stock. Very nice touch.

Great News!!!!

You guys spoke and we listened. Many customers had asked if the Sparrow will have the option for Air Retracts and brakes. We are happy to announce that they now come standard with the Sparrow kit. This makes the Sparrow only $2395.00 complete kit plus shipping!

For those of you who still prefer the electric gear and brake set, it will now be available as an upgrade option for $595.00

Thank you all and happy flying.

Default Pacific RC Jets Sparrow Flyers

Writing this message to see how many people out there own the Sparrow. Not a lot of videos online showing people Flyin them. I'm just curious how many people have them. I have mine built and flying right now on a Evo jet 160 and it flies amazing.
