So that is two measurements then? One distance in the app and one distance to compare with the app.

Upper right corner or home page there are flags. Click on the US flag everything will change to English. Except the pricing. I ordered with case. Came to 200. Euros that's about 212 USD

Sandor,

Just tried to order the deluxe version, came up as $210 USD and checking out with PP I got "Payment mollie", think that means failed?

Charges seem to be all over the place for U.S. orders from slightly less than $200 to $212 and you do take PP, correct?

The best form of advertisement is word of mouth. As soon as we get this product in our hands and show off to our friends how great it is.... expect to see sales explode.

Default more news

we will also supply STL files for everyone for free to 3D print "cones" so you can weight and balance it with gear up or for Soar planes.
if you cant Print or now someone who can we will sell them also in a later stage.
the Cones will fit in the holes that normally your wheels fall into.

The app look very simple and straight forward. On a side note can I purchase a " calibrated" weight to go with my kit for future test and calibrations? Also any word from electron?

Great news Sandor, I assume those of us who pre-ordered will get the inch software installed in the "control box", or is it just the app that needs the update?

Ok thx, I have a question about using the 25 scale for nose vs the 5. You said it could be done but wouldn't be as accurate. Help me understand. 1 gram on either scale is still 1 gram. Where do you loose accuracy? Also I hope you have a great vacation and come back to a bunch of orders.

All scales have an accuracy rating, typically expressed as a %. Seem that in this case, the accuracy is measured as % of the max weight for the scale. So say a 1% of 5kg scale is much less an error than 1% of 25kg.

Each scale should be calibrated to gram. Using the theory of 1% on a 5 , 10, 25 etc is drastic when it comes to precision. If I put a 1lb weight on each pad they should all read the same.

Scales just don't work that way, ScaleCrazy. Look at the scales is a university level chemistry lab or engineering department. They have all different sizes. The reason for that is that the smaller scales are more accurate by nature, so students are taught to use the smallest scale that can measure the item so they get the most accurate measurement.

I thought of a question about the product. When measuring a trike gear plane, the fuselage will be pretty much in flight position when sitting on the gear. But if you are measuring a tail dragger, the CG will be shifted back a bit due to the plane sitting in a nose up attitude. So using this tool with just the weights on the wheels will cause the builder to set the CG farther forward than he planned to. The farther above the axles of the wheels the vertical CG is, the more pronounced this effect will be. Is there a compensation for this effect in the software?

The plane will need to be ballance in the level position. I'm guessing you somehow shim up the tail wheel / scale to get in the right position.
