BAHAHAHHAHAHA, you nerds!

Thanks Patrick. Still goofing off with that trying to be better at it. I thought I'd farted around with some high alpha that flight. Nope. Got that left hand turn down though!!

Nice Dave,

Man.. You guys have some really crappy flying sites. And you have to put up with atrocious weather.

Awesome Dave, good for you!!! You deserve it after what you have been through. What's pushing it around, for power and about how much throttle.

Kelly,

i put a KT210 in it. I have to use a lot of throttle discipline for that though. Takeoff is just over half and flying is just under half. The only time I hit full is climbing vertically out of high alpha. Additionally I've got an airspeed sensor on it to monitor a VNE of 175 as recommended by BVM.

The real reason I put the 210 in is so I can swap motors between my SM F-4 and this

i have to say I've not had a turbine with such an excess of thrust before. It's truly awesome if thoughtfully applied (ie not for speed but for "torque")

Cool, what did you do for fuel tank arrangement. All four used for fuel or smoke or ?

Kelly,

i converted One of the front tanks to fuel leaving the other for smoke. I have that tank feed first into the mains and from there to the uat. That gets the weight out of the front of the plane early and keeps the cg the same for landing. I fly 9+ min on that setup (I'm running a Jeti sensor that measures mah used by the fuel pump which essentially equates to fuel used so I use that rather than time to determine when to land). The 210 is amazingly efficient in that airframe...I'm thinking because the power setting are so low

That's cool Dave, may have to have one of those down the road. My son is saving up for maybe the KT 100 for my old Balsa Bandit. My PNP F-16 has a Peggy HP WOOP WOOP start in it!!

Ya it's a little more foreplay but the end results the same.

Yup! All kidding aside my wife is amazingly supportive of my toy airplanes. She's probably just happy that if I'm not with her that it's 60+ yr old men

Are you still trying to make it up this way, be cool if you could make a trip up with a bird. Doesn't your wife have family up in this area?

Cool, hope it works out. June 3rd and 19th-21st are bad dates for me, if you get a choice?. If it works we will grill up some good Grubb as well.
