Ideals on how to modfie my current paint schemes
So I started with a nice lightly crashed Aviation Design Diamond that went down at FL jets this year. I was going to try to save the original paint job, but there was way to much damage to the jell coat, as it was coming off in chunks.
I was going to do star wars, but it really didn't do it for me.
So I started painting, trying to somewhat copy one of Aviation's original paint schemes but different, (why go throw all this work to look like everyone else.)
The black is a very sweet 2015 MOPAR Challenger Metallic Black, and the red is a very custom bright red with metallic/pearl base coat, They will not show there ohh until cleared, as once im done painting I will clear the whole jet to seal it all in.
What I have painted was going to be sweet in my head, but now its done except for the white Diamond decals that I may put in the intake path, and a Diamond Syllable on the rudder.
I feel like this has turned out a little to plain, I new I should of done Miss America paint scheme.
Im trying to figure out how to save this current set up, what would you add if it was yours?
I was thinking of adding flight metal to the tail cone area for a different color, and some bling.
I also was thinking of adding a black , or chrome pin stripe to break the red and silver.
A was also thinking of using white to trail along the wing red edge then doing white only checkers with the silver still under.
The canopy will be painted black, to save the weight of the pilot and cockpit.
Please help, any suggestions? I lover fiberglass repair, but suck at ART
