Default Tailwinds to the Ghost Rider

Sadly, with a heavy heart, My friend and fellow RC Aviatior Ben Ndubuisi, aka, Ghostrider, has passed away this morning peacefully after a stroke and heart attack..

He was a good friend, and will be missed... We ran a lot of miles together to events. I know most of you jet guys out there will remember Ben from way back to the speed runs on ducted fans, and his firm love of the rookie 1 and the F-16. His last love was still Jets, we were talking about them just a few weeks ago.. I had a buddy box set up for him to return to fly after his first stroke. He will be sorely missed..

I think everyone that flew jets for awhile has a Ben story..Tailwinds my brother..

Every time he answered the phone with me, it was "Talk to me Goose"..

Dave

Wow. I interacted with him on many occasions here on this forum. Very respectful guy, never an issue. He was one of the original ones.

In his garage was still a big box of BVM and OS ducted fans with tons of pistons, heads and carbs and a cardboard box of fried glow plugs.... He would get one out every now and then and run it for fun.

He helped out back on 2002-2004 when I was starting with ducted fans. I believe he had a very uncommon Spiderjets F-16. Not many of those in the US.

Yes he did... He and Ron Ballard built them together as commemorative of the Fort Wayne ANGB F-16's.. He flew it for a long time.

Sorry to hear about Ben. He was a good guy. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
I only talked to him a few times in person but quite a few times on here.

Oh this is very sad news. I knew Ben from our online conversations that predated RCUniverse (we joined here at the same time in 2001). I knew him from RCOnline, Bob Parks Jet List and Modelnet in Compuserve days. He did love his Spiderjets F-16. I flew with him several times in the Superman heydays, back as far as 1997?

He was a veteran of the Turbine Wars I and II....."how the mighty have fallen"

I met Ben at Jets over Deland back in the mid 90's. He was always great to talk to, and always a gentleman.
Very sorry to hear he is gone.

On 2 occasions Bob Wilcox and I had to go to present information to the AMA executive council at AMA headquarters in Muncie, and both times Ben was in attendance as an interested AMA member. He was very involved and passionate about the hobby and his friends.

This is horrible news. Ben was a moderator on this forum when I was. I talked many times with him, bought stuff from him, sold stuff to him, never met him though. Always hoped I would. Rest in peace my friend. Blue skies forever to you.
love you my friend

So sad to hear about Ben. Met him at Superman and Winamac every year early this century. He will be missed.
