Exclamation PBS Turbines - HELP!

I am currently working on a friend's F-16 that has a PBS-20 turbine installed. Unfortunately we cannot get the turbine to run properly, it aborts the start sequence at various temperatures (the highest was around 600 degrees celcius). The error code in menu 15 is "0000304". I couldn't find any info in the manual as to what this error code stands for. Can anyone help?

I had the problem, the solution was the fuel nipple wasn't at the 12 o'clock position directly at the top of the engine when mounted, and needs to be for starting. check yours, this might be the same issue.

It's at the 12 o'clock position, so must be a different error.

Battery fully charged?? If I remember correctly watching them run at bitw they won't start unless the batt (12v) is topped off.

Battery is full. As I said, the turbine DOES start, but always aborts during calibration (between 500 and 600 degrees celcius).

Default Turbine

Hello. I would check a few things.
1. During the calibration sequence does the rpm drop? if so then your rpm sensor is bad probably.
2. Do you see any bubbles in your fuel line. if so thats the reason.
3. Check that your temp doesnt bounce around. If it does then bad temp sensor
4. If all of the above are fine then might be bad ecu.

@Xtreme

Thank you for the reponse. The RPM does not drop and there are no air bubbles. The temp is climbing steadily until the shut down.

Please advise.

So we only have two other items to check. Fuel pump and ECU. Try to tap on the fuel pump at that point and see if anything happens.

Stupid question because I am just working on that plane but didn't build it, isn't the fuel pump integrated into the turbine? If so, how shall I tap on it?

I retract that last reply. I did not know these have the fuel pump inside the front cover. sorry about that. I am sure it would probably void the warranty so I will not tell you to open up the front cover. So your next best bet is to just send it back to them and let them take care of it for you.
