Default Jets Munt

Looking for reviews via personal experience with 'Jets Munt' turbines... quality, reliability, response/lag time, actual thrust, fuel consumption, customer service, required service/maintenance turnaround time... the whole nine yards.

I

I own several turbines of them.

Email communication is nearly instant. Generally, they reply within 24hrs. Good English.
Orders are often shipped the SAME day.
Maintenance is quick and reasonable, they stick to warranty regulations and are generous.
The turbines are very reliable, and the most efficient in their class. Weight, fuel consumption etc... all excellent.

I can only recommend them.

Regadrs,
Christof

I bought a 100 last year to see what Jets Munt engines are like. I have some superb engines from AMT, JetCat, Wren and PST but never had a better engine or service. All my Wrens and most of my PST engines are now using Xicoy Ecus.

The 100 made my BobCat ballistic, and is now going into my Rotkoski Sabre.

Wholeheartedly recommend them.

David

This is great to hear as I bought a used 140 XBL Merlin in a Bandit and have not fired it up yet. I do plan on running Jet A and Mobil DTE light in it.

I have two JM 140xbl turbines and have the 3rd on order for the mini Diamond. Spool up time is ballistic. Very reliable. Very light weight. Had a burner problem and turn around from USA to Spain to USA was 2 weeks covered under warrantee. Gaspar's email communication is "ballistic" just like his turbine spool up times. Strongly recommend without reservations.

I have "several" of them and in my opinion they are the best turbines on the current market.. The service is also top notch.

Merry Christmas Gaspar... look forward to my M70 soon

Well... It's the truth. I've only bought a few things from you... but you're quick with emails, and shipping. (I just ordered that old style flight computer)

Now... if you can just get the M35 done. LOL

Merry Christmas !

I own M-90 and VT-80, both great engines, never have had a flame out. Very reliable and very good fuel efficiency. Best option in the market today IMO.

I wish they would do a bigger turbine I have a jet that needs one but the service for Jet Products Australia ( Phil Celima ) is awsome and that's why I'll buy another one from him...

Merry Christmas and a happy new year

It's reports, like this, that tell me that I am on track and truly heading in the proper direction for my first turbine purchase.
I've heard a lot of belated bad reports concerning Jetcat and Wren... their customer service, turnaround times, etc., etc., etc.. I've yet to read anything, lately, that suggests that things have changed with those folks other than new ownership and customers hopes for a better future. I've yet to find any bad reports concerning Jets Munt, their products, nor their customer support. These engines are costly and I'm a newbie. I need good reviews prior to taking this new/costly plunge. Gaspar, if you are reading this... you just gained a new customer. I'll be in touch soon!

i'm in the exact same position. Researching turbines now and am 85% sure I will but the Jets Munt. Its come down to the Merlin 140 or the Kingtech K-140G. It is critical that I get it right the first time.

A concern I have that i don't hear addressed often is service going forward. I want longevity in my brand so I know I will still have a place to send it for service 1, 3, 5, maybe even 10 years down the road. In the US we only had Ron Ballard servicing Wrens (he was GREAT), but when he stepped away service suffered. I'm trying, as best as I can, to predict future support availability.

Any thoughts?

Wow, these are some GLOWING ovations for jetsmunts! Todd at dreamworks has them too! Very convenient.

And the jetsmunts are even more economically priced than kingtech!

Well, service IS the million dollar question, with longevity being one of them. Jetsmunts have been around for quite a while already and, really, everyone else is pretty much using Gaspar's software/ecu (ie xicoy), so these are all EVEN more encouraging facts!

Hmmm....

I bought a XBL200 for my Hawk last year and flew it last summer. Just bought a XBL100 for a new Flash. The XBL100 has the new color xicoy GSU which is pretty nice and you can't beat the xicoy for ease of use.
I flew Jetcats for 10 years, have also had several Kingtechs which are good motors but I think the Jetsmunt turbines are a little more advanced if that is important to you.
So far I really like the Jetsmunt turbines. As was mentioned, Dreamworks provides service and they have been selling Jetsmunt for a long time so I don't think you will have any issues with service.
You also get quick responses from Jetsmunt directly if you have questions.

My 160 was in for service, got quick estimate of damage, decided factory upgrade was best option, Gaspar got me a gret deal and made me owner of a new 200xbl, dealt with Gaspar directly, quick response and excellent service, fast delivery, engine runs flawless. Nothing but great dealings with Jets Munt on my end.
