The sparrow is $1k more than the mini T-1. The T-1 is $500 more than the mini (at least per the website).

I would do the T-1 at that price point. Though I was hoping to be closer to the $2k price.

This is the original Rabbit so its rated at 18lbs....just under the newer Rabbit. I just don't want to be under powered.

I have a friend flying one on a K100 off grass. She will be OK. The plane is super light.

Congrats on the new plane Dan! If you bought the one I built all you need to do is drop the turbine in and CG will be good. The K60 will not change the CG since its installed so close to the CG. For throws I gave Dirk my DX18 file so if you fly spektrum then you can use that and your good.

I didn't measure the throws and CG on it after I got it flying good at Kentucky Jets.

After years of a big truck and a long RV, we sold the whole package, along with a couple of big airplanes. In our aging years, and while the eyeballs are still Navy standard, we decided to go small. We bought an SUV and a foam T-45 "Look a like". Great little flyer with plenty of room in the car. Next, we ordered a T-1.7, and it arrived yesterday. Great packing, superb paint job (even waxed and polished), unbelievable hardware pkg, and, keeping in Navy tradition Blue and Gold. No need to touch up a few glue joints........this baby has it all done. Awaiting the servo's (be here in a day or two) and should only take a couple of days (minus vacation with the Grands in Yellowstone), and this machine will be in the air. Many thanks to Dirk and Barry for a great little product-and unequaled customer service.

Hi All
I went to work on mine yesterday, Got the servos in ( Savox SV-1250 MG ) I have decided to go with medal servo arms so that will hold me up a day waiting for them.
The only minor problem is I had to shim the servo up to match the opening for the Aileron & Flap .
The fuel tanks are very nice , I am planning on using the Smoke oil tanks as fuel also for now.
For a small Jet, I am pleased how much room there is inside.

What size servos does the Mini T1 use?
are those Savox 1250 good enough at 64 oz/in?

They are listed as the servo package for the Mini on Pacific RC Jets. They are 111oz-in at 7.4v which is what most should be using to save space and weight. The one they had at Kentucky I believe had those, but I'm sure Kris can confirm either way.

The Mini is going together a lot fast than I was expected, hardest part so far is shimming the servo to fit into the slot.
Have the fuel system done, Pipe mounted & the engine has been mounted.
Last part that I really hate is mounting the gear door hinges in the front. If I finish that today it just might do the virgin this weekend ( weather permitting ( This is Wisconsin )

Hi
I am installing a Jetcat P-60 SE. I had this on the shelf for a while with only 12 Minutes of run time so it only made sense to finally use it.
I am working on the front gear door now ( I hate that job ) when that is finished & the servo installed I will take Pic's again.
Will have a total weight next week , seems lite so far.
Hope to maiden it one evening next week

DAVAL,
Just curious, what brand and length metal servo arms are you using?
All,
Does anyone have video of the Mini T-1 flying? Its not on the Jets Over Kentucky 2017 Blu-Ray disc. Post the video or share a link.

Cheers!

I am running Hangar 9 1" on my standard T-1. Probably the same for the mini

It's done,
I am taking a vacation day tomorrow to Maiden it. It ended up weighing 16lbs 10 oz. I am using SWB servo arms for the flaps & ail. One thing I would recommend is to get the wiring kit for this plane, I didn't
& regretted it many times. One thing that I would recommend is that T-1 hinge the nose gear door, ( 4 hr job ) I am using a duracel life 3800 mah for the ECU & A-123 2500 for the radio
I have the batteries right over the landing gear in the back & still had to put 6 oz of lead in the tail ( hate doing that )

I think they left the nose door off because most people aren't using them on the bigger T-3 and T-1 so you have the option to add it instead of having to cut it out

Dan
For those of you putting the K60 in the Mini T-1, WOW what a performer! The K60 pushes this little bird great with plenty of power. We did about a 5 min flight and had jut under a half tank left. I was a bit over half throttle for most of the flight with exception of the full throttle passes and verticals.

We had the CG at 195, need to fly more to get it fine tuned but it seems like a good spot. No crow and it slowed down more that i expected.
Overall a fantastic flyer just like its big brothers.
