Hi Guys,

Well T-One Models did it again!!! They brought out the MINI Monster in the T-1 & T-3, and built the 1.7M T-1. Some of you already know this, as you are on the waiting list or are in the 1st production run. If you were wondering how strong this plane is, feast your eyes on the video link of the Prototype being tested by T.C. Lin for the T-One Factory. The factory Prototype is being flown with the ALL NEW KingTech K-70 G2, and WOW!! what a Power House of a turbine! We will have our 1st MINI Monster T-1, to Debut at Jets Over Kentucky. Hi Kelly,

I am not real familiar with the P-80 but if I am not mistaken, isn't that a large housing turbine compared to the more modern 80N turbines? The distance between the engine rail is 100 mm from edge to edge. I hope that helps?

It gets even better, Here are the pictures of the Mini T-1 Wing bag and Fuselage bag. They are in production and we should have them hopefully in 4-6 weeks.

The mini T1 flew fantastic at KYjets. It flies allot like the bigger T1. Like the bigger T1 the factory gave us a super nose heavy CG setting. After I pulled the CG back she flew very well in knife edge and will do any maneuver you ask of her. Lands super slow and has a very light wing loading. This plane has now made all other planes this size obsolete in my opinion. No way I would ever get a flash or bandit now that this plane is out.

I will try and go over some of the build here in the next few posts. I took some pics but not many since I had to have this one pretty done in a few days build time. Like the bigger T1 it comes prehinged and even has the horns glued in and as a bonus they are painted and even match the paint scheme lines. Very good attention to detail.

The electric retracts worked flawless and the electric brakes also worked well and did not lock up. The brakes call for a 2 cell lipo input. I hate lipos in jets so I just went ahead and took power from a 2 cell LIFE receiver battery and this worked out great. Also the plane if not planned ahead of time will come out nose heavy.

I built this plane as stock as possible to make sure I could identify problems before anyone else received one. For mods I really only had a few small issues. One of the problems was the small hole in the wing for the servo wires..... The holes in the wing where so small I had to cut off the ends of the servo wires to get the wire through then re crimp on new connectors. I let the factory know about this already and hope no one else will have this problem.

A huge plus is Drik at Pacificrcjets now sells a premade wire harness for this plane. It includes all the wires for the electric brakes and retracts on one big wing connector. This makes feild assembly a breeze and I highly recommend it. One thing you will need to do is open up the inboard side of the wing enough for the connector to fit inside it.

Another issue I had was the kit came with a nice fuel fitting for the smoke tank but came with a old school brass tube and stopper for the fuel tank. I ordered a fuel fitting from Dirk and did a proper install on this and I will not use the old brass tubes and stopper on jets. Make sure when you order your plane to get one extra fuel fitting and the wire harness kit.

I used the new Kingtech smoke pump on this plane and wow is it fantastic! by far the best preforming smoke pump I have used. Best part is the speed control and a big one a fuel solenoid are all built into it so it does not siphon out and make a mess in your plane. The little smoke tank surprisingly was plenty for a flight when using it on the passes and turning it off downwind.

The main fuel tank had plenty of fuel for the new K70. After 7 mins of hard flying I would land with just under half tank left so I could have even gone longer.

Another small thing I to do was to modify the servo mounts slightly. The wing support structure that holds the servo cover and servos would interfere with the metal servo brackets on installation slightly. I trimmed the metal servo brackets slightly and then it all fit good. DO NOT trim the wood inside the wing to make it fit but trim the metal on the servo mount. This will insure proper strength is maintained.

I used all stock hardware for the servo linkages and ball ends.

I forgot to take pics of the equipment install in the nose. It was all pretty straight forward. It is very tight getting everything in. I mounted the UAT over the nose gear but had to move the receiver and ECU battery to the sides of the fuel tanks to get CG. The batts where in the nose for the factory CG but that was big time nose heavy so moved them back. Dirk has the plane now and he will post the CG and throws.

This was a very easy build and even a first time jet builder should have no problems with it. If anyone is unsure feel free to contact me. This plane is fun for a first time jet pilot or the seasoned veteran that wants to cut loose and do precision aerobatics down on the deck. Coupled with the new K70 its an unbeatable deal with very good quality. The K70 had perfect power for verticals yet great fuel economy. Not sure what other engines will work in it.

I have an original ZERO runtime Jet Central Rabbit 90. Do you think its too large for this one or would it be better suited for the original T-1? I really want to get a jet going and have been looking at some ARF's that are going to be quick to put together and good for a first time jet owner. I've flown some Bobcats and Kingcats and EDF military jets. Never got my waiver, though as I have been slowly, very slowly putting together a Falcon 120 conversion that is beefed up and glassed. I have a JL 1/8 F-16 that the Rabbit is for.....once I get good and comfortable down the road.

There's barely enough room for the K45/70 and I'm pretty sure the rabbit is twice as big so I would have to say no. At least that's what I gathered from looking at it up close. Very nice jet though

It's what I figured, but had to ask. Seems the market is missing the 100 range (where a 100 is the max recommended instead of the min recommended for the sleaker looking sport jets for first timers)

I would recommend a Sparrow from pacificrcjets.com
19lbs thrust would be good in this jet. Would be a simple good flying jet. The wait time after order is minimal at this point.

I don't recomend anything larger than the K70 in Mini T-1

The bigger T1 would really make a great trainer plane for your turbine waiver on that engine. You can always get a bigger one down the road but it will fly fine on a 100. I already got 2 people turbine waivers on the prototype T1.
