Hello T3-Pilots,
what an amazing jet. As I have the opportunity to purchase one of the first that came out I have a question: Are there essential differences in production and weight compared to
the new models with service door in the front and is it possible to manage a dry weight of around 47lbs??? Otherwise I would have to register!

My Feedback: (3)
Mine was 50lbs dry ... 63 lbs wet (fuel only, although I do have smoke system installed). If you have smoke fluid it would be more. I dion’t think there is any way to avoid LTMA1 with this jet. LTMA1 is really no big deal to do.

Thank you for the information. But as I live in germany, the land of over-regulation and EU, registration is a bigger deal.
T-Onemodel and dealer says weight of airframe, gear, thrustpipe and so on is 16,8Kg.
I will weigh that and calculate what has to be added with about 4-5litres kerosene.

Ok, So this is not taken out of context, Tim did not contact the factory direct nor does anyone else need to try and contact the factory about T.V. questions. The factory has many new jets they are working on getting released and will not have time to answer your emails. The factory has been testing the T.V. units on a few local T-1's and when Tim asked me about it for the T-3, we thought why not, as the T-1 performance is very good and we were just getting ready to release the T.V. version T-1. Like Tim has mentioned, there will be flight restrictions for the T-3 T.V. version as with that size and weight you can't pull forward flight high G maneuvers, but the typical spins and flips in a more stationary flight will not be a problem. Also like mentioned, we will be adding more carbon fiber in the mid to tail section for added strength. We will put the T.V. option on the website soon. The T-1 requires a completely different tail section to accommodate the T.V. unit and servo mounts, so modifying a current version is probably not an option. We have already talked about making the Mini T-1 with a T.V. option. If you have questions, you can email me or call and I will answer all questions.
Cheers,
Dirk
