I posted it on the FB page but for those not on FB ... I finally got a chance to check my CG today and I'm around 353 - 355mm by my calcs.

Weighs 50.83 lbs with PBS 230N turbine, smoke system, light system, two 2S-4000mah flight packs, one 2S-3300mah for smoke/lights, and one 3S-5000mah for turbine. All LiPo and could probably drop close to a pound by using smaller batteries.

Flies great ... can ride a wheelie on landing for 75ft or more (depending on landing speed). Slows down to a crawl for landing. No crow needed to slow it down.

That was a factory color mess up, Pink Monster is PM and Purple Monster is PUM. The factory just finished painting an ordered Purple Monster and must have thought it was 2, mistakes happen!! This Purple Monster is available to sell if anyone is interested and it can be delivered to Florida Jets. Has the lights installed as well.

Jsnipes, What did you use to fabricate the holders for the covers for the main landing gear? Just realized the plane didnt come with anything to mount those with. I was seriously looking around for like 2 hours thinking I lost them. Thanks

See photos below. They were hand fabricated from a piece of plastic.

Last photo shows the strut cover trimmed to avoid clearance issues since I mainly fly from grass.

Hope this helps.

Looking great, RCFlyGuy26!

A couple of notes about the struts for later ...

- I'm running 140psi in my struts to get the proper stance full of fuel and compression/stroke. It sounds insanely high but a friend of mine had to run the same in his Avanti XXL. I started out around 70 psi and it was just bottomed out all the time with fuel. Hook your compressor (large compressor is best) with regulator set to 140 psi to the back side inlet of the little mousse can thingy that comes with the jet kit. This will pressurize the mousse can. The front side outlet of the mousse can is a check valve that releases when pressed. Aligned the tapered outlet with the inlet of the strut very careful and press it so that the valve is released. You can lift the wing to decompress the strut while you're doing this ... I've found this seems to help.
- Be sure to lubricate the trailing link hinge ... After some flights I had a gear not locking up all the way. I found that the trailing link was not full returning to the "down" position so the tire would hit the edge of the wheel well when I retracted the gear in the air. Upon further inspection the hinge seemed tight after I removed the strut air cylinder from it. I used some of the BVM Dry Lube and voila ... issue resolved.

Two for two! 15 flights on my T-3 at this weekend’s Carolina Jet Fest jet meet. Fully dialed in and flying great! Thanks to T-One Models and Pacific RC Jets for providing such a great airframe. PBS 230N turbine is perfect match. Jeti CB200, MKS HV777A+, and Cortex Pro for guidance. JS

Jamie,
What are you final settings? High, and low rates/throws, expo, and CG?

Thanks, Scott

CG is ~355mm. See pic below for Xicoy CG settings.
Cortex Pro is -35 gain for flying and -60 for landing. (Rate mode only) Gyro setting will affect expo setting.
I am only using one rate for takeoff/flying/landing. I’ll have to measure the actual control surface movement next time out.
My expo settings are 41% aileron, 25% elevator, and 40% rudder for the throws I fly with.
Aileron expo is higher than I expected with using a gyro but it is what it is. I tend to fly smooth maneuvers so others may prefer less expo than me.
Hope this helps!
