35th ANNUAL GREATER SOUTHWEST JET RALLY
Well we are less than a month away from the biggest show in TEXAS, Sep. 7/8/9 is the 35th annual Greater Southwest Jet Rally Here in Waco Texas, The longest running Jet Rally here in the U.S.
-We have a 800x75 paved runway with 3 taxiways feeding it, one of the finest flying sites in the country, we are very proud of it, -come as early as you want field will be open to all the whole week, Night flying is approved as well
-35$ pilot registration includes a free lunch ticket as well,, Awards will be presented on Saturday
-covered shaded Pitt area, electricity, Bleacher section (bring sunscreen and umbrella if you plan on sitting,, this is TEXAS) We do have water access on site
-nice open field, we are 5 mins away from swimming access at the lake
-Restrooms Handicap accessible Restroom
-RV parking on a first come first serve basis, 30amp service 15$ a night Free to camp if you do not need electricity
-Laid back atmosphere with some great people and great jets
--Free-- Donuts for breakfast Thursday morning from SHIPLEYS the kings of donuts here in TEXAS
--Free-- Pizza for Dinner Thursday night From Rosatis , great Italian restaurant
-Concession stand at field open Friday and Saturday Friday night will be BBQ Dinner and on Saturday night we will be having our SHRIMP BOIL dinner
-come on out and have a great time bring friends, bring family, everyone is welcome

Just talked to Larry Garrett, cd of the SW. Since Harvey hit the state of Texas, as of this morning Waco has had 1" of rain total and no more expected. He said field is in great shape. The tents will be put up later this week.
One of the Arizona gang will be arriving this Wednesday and the rest of the AZ gang will be there this weekend. I will be there next Monday as a number of others.

ughh i might not be making it due to the extreme flooding in Houston im dry still but this rain wont stop so who knows for how long. Waco would be a great stress relieve but just not sure what tomarrow brings.
