Default JR NX8931 Programming ?

Is the JR NX8931 servo programmable by any kind of stand alone programmer like some other brands are, or can you only program it through the JR DMSS Transmitter ?
Thanks-Mike O.

"Programming is simple via your XBus-equipped JR XG-series DMSS transmitter, and not only can servo direction and travel be adjusted, but it is now possible to fine tune holding power, stopping speed, dead band, starting power, total servo travel, create an alarm if servo load exceeds a user-set limit, enable slow start, as well as enhanced failsafe features to help protect your servos in the event of signal loss."

My understanding is that it's done via the transmitter but I can't find any info on how to do it. If anyone knows how to with an XG14, please post.

Plug into the Xbus port on any Xbus Rx and go to the systems section

The only programable servos without requiring a TX that I'm aware of....are the Futaba SBUS (cumbersome dongle I had it work on my old laptop but it wasn't really easy) and the NEW DITEX from hacker which is very easy, also with servo software update, which I had to used already on some servos.

Hitec programmable servos are programmed w/o having a transmitter. Hitec has a relatively cheap programmer. Seems like having to have an expensive transmitter to program a servo is somewhat limiting as to who would buy the servo..

Can 8931's be programmed with a Jeti DS16/24 or do you have to have a JR XG Tx?

Thanks Daniel. No more NX servos. I like the Ditex, plus they have telemetry. I'll move to those too.

I've used many 8911HV's. NX8931's should be a good replacement since 8911HV's have been discontinued. If I still had a JR Tx I'd use NX8931's.

Question,??

If I find someone at my club with a JR transmitter that is DMSS
and if they have a receiver that is also DMSS

can we connect the JR NX 8921 servos in my airplane to that RX and program it?

‘yes if it’s a XG14 or 28 radio only

I have 2 NIB 8911HV and 1 used 8911HV that works perfectly. I plan to list them in the RCU classified ads. What is a good price to ask for the new ones and the used one?
