Thanks for posting, Dave! It looks great.
I also see that there are no front gear doors. what about the main gear doors? are they still there?
Same upgraded pipe that's hanging from the engine's bell?

No gear doors at all. Saves weight. This one will use a Zimmermann pipe, but same Frank Pipe that CARF sells would come with a full package.

Hadn't flown my Mephisto for a little while, four flights on Sunday reminded me what a great aeroplane it is. P-220Rxi, Powerbox Royal.

I need to add some turbulators and a piece to the trailing edge of the tailerons, see pics. What can buy locally that will do this? I've seen other people have this mod and it's part of the V2 kit, but I know nothing about how to make these, but can source just about anything.

See photos..

They are 2mm carbon, but glass is fine. Fit top and bottom. The tube on the TE is like thickening the TE and reduces the chance of flutter.

I'm trying to install the newly designed thrust tube. My kit came with two foam aft formers. Do I install one in front & aft of the stab tube or did I get an extra? I don't see two aft formers on any of these posts. Thanks.

Depends on the series of your kit. Laminating the two together in the back is the most common, the separated thrust vector unit needs more support.

Any word on a 140 size, Carf did say if the model became popular they may look at a 140 Mephisto.

It’s pretty much the same as the V1...turbine size and weight makes the biggest difference to where batteries go.

Default Mephisto V2

I just ordered my Mephisto V2. Are there very many of the V2 flying with a KT260? If so how is the performance? Which tank are you installing in the V2?

Where can I find the servo extensions and plugs used in this Mephisto? (Especially the ones where the fuse breaks down)

I think Alex uses Emcotec plugs, but we use Powerbox 2 and 3 servo leads. Alex is at BITW now if anyone you know is there now to ask.

Mephisto weekend at JMA Sculthorpe event. Steve J is still loving his Mephisto and my P-220Rxi Mk1 still wins the duration (original 7.2ltr tanks!) and slow flight award. Steve says best Sports Jet in the World...he's probably right!

V2 has the option to use the two original tanks, or the single smaller central tank for where 25kg wet weight had to be achieved. The kit does not include a tank so you choose.

Dave, which tank do you use or recommend with the 320. I seen the Mephisto fly at BITW for a few minutes. Not sure how long the flight was. It did have the smaller tank and the KT 320.

That would be Alex's Mephisto and I think he flies around 5 minutes with the single 5ltr tank. I would go with the twin tanks at 6ltrs which is what the guys have here with JetCat P-300 Pro's that are around 310N.
