Hey Chet,
looks I’ll have to go the same way with the 260 and then upgrade to a 310, waiting 6 month with the plane ready will drive me crazy!!
I’m using a pwrbox cockpit wich I had and 02 6303 rx’s

And mine is done 20.9KG with the updated tail and 300. Just waiting for the paperwork and the test flights can begin!

I will like to know regarding the update tail i have one mephisto i pick up at Florida Jets and i dont have the update tail and not heard anything from Carf models about tail replacement

So have you asked them. They should be able to advise. I sorted out the four sets for the U.K. guys that needed it. CARF made for each kit pre the update.

I get around 1 months flying from a 2s 1000mAh pack on the retracts!

Ziv,

Those Futaba antennas are in the same "plane" and that does not offer much diversity. I'm sure it is fine, but could be better if changed.

Hi,

The balance is right where the manual recommends, 38cm in front of the trailing edge , where the wing joins the fuselage.
I did not add any lead.

Nice install! This has to be the easiest component access jet in the history of rc turbines.

I can’t remember where that is in relation to the spar and I’m home. The balance should be behind the spar back edge. It should not be necessary to use lead in any Mephisto ( other than trimming pre moving cells)
Have you spoken to KT about the 310? I was under the impression the updates were a few months away.

I have not spoken to KT, and I am not aware of any problem.
What is that update you are referring to? Is there a problem?
I have 4 KT310 up and running in other planes...

I'd talk to them and find out what the situation is. I know of two that let go in Mephisto's and understood they are working on updates due later this year. I'm not a KT dealer so talk to someone who has all the information.

Hi Ziv, I have this info on the 310 status, there were some issues with older series Kt310 turbine wheels, on some of them not all, so at the moment they are working in a new wheel and compresor that it's suppos to be ready by Oct/Nov.
In the mean time they have ask owners of 310's to lower their max Rpm by 3.000 to avoid risk
After the new wheel and compresor are ready they are offering free upgrade to the current owners of 310's...

Birdie was getting his Mephisto, Powerbox Mercury-iGyro3e, JetCat P-300Pro, JR 28x combination dialed in today at Classic Jets #75
There were Four Mephisto's there today.
