Do you Spektrum guys have a recommendation for routing / placement of my main antenna wires? I have the three remote receivers that will be on diverse planes, but not too sure what to do with the two main wires. I sent an email into horizon for guidance, but no reply yet.

Thanks.

I would put them along either side of the fuse as high up as you can get them. You’re pretty limited where you can go with those. It’s going to look at which ever satellite or main antennas have the best signal. The satellites are full receivers as well so as long as you have at least one with a good signal for every orientation of the plane (as best you can) you’re good to go.

it's just the way the pic looks. It is a antenna holder kit from hobby king. The straws that hold the antennas are at 45°so they hold them at 90°.

OK -- you guys didn't tell me safety wire is sharp... causes punctures... and thumbs like to bleed
Note: I left the output of the pump loose so I can prime back into the fuel can. After the prime, I'll connect the tube to the turbine and safety wire it.
And yes, those are universal bonding strips on the walls.

In the future make sure you double wrap the safety wire before twisting it, that way you eliminate any chance of crimping the fuel line, which could introduce air in the line. -Tom

When I prime the line I always prime all the way to the motor, that way you don’t get the flame while it try to start.....

Hate to say it but you need to cut all tat safety wire off and redo it. Needs a double wrap or it can pinch and leak. I would not trust it like the others said.

OK -- check this out. I wrapped around twice then twisted. Right?

Much better! Although your twists don't look right. Looks like one side wrapped around the other instead of the wires wrapped around each other.

i think that’s just the light in the pic or whatever, they look ok to me. But I used the fuel hose zip ties on mine..

OK -- once more with feeling. I made sure there is a continuous loop of wire around the tube by double looping it.

Due to 150 abusive flights and a too many run-out-of-airspeed-landing-plops on the landing gear, I had very small cracks developing on the top of the wing directly above the landing gear. I have them fixed and reinforced from the inside, but I had to cut out the landing gear wells (picture).

Any suggestions on a good way to close this in again?

I figured it out. I glassed below the hole on the inside top surface of the wing and then stuck two layers of 6mm Depron foam cut to shape. Then I glassed over that and covered it with black vinyl. Ready to fly!

My wife and I did the fuel system prime, and then decided to start her up last night. Only had one neighbor text and suggest we were being too loud... so I'd call it a success. I also put her (not my wife or neighbor) on the balance stand again and she was at195 -- which I'm happy with as a starting point for the first few flights.

My last thing to do is re-check all of my surface deflections. I use both rates and expo, so I set them all to the manual settings while on mid-rates.

Maiden could happen this weekend if the weather and other pilots line up.

I saw your video on FB. Good job. I always forget the valve too.

It's a shame you can't make some noise for, what 3 min in the middle of the day, without someone complaining. I grew up in Tampa and lived in Clearwater for my last five years in FL. I don't miss the Old Fart Factor® I wish you good luck and success whenever you maiden her (not your wife, the plane). Name: rofl.gif

Fortunately it's not all neighborhoods in Fl. I can start my motors (Turbines and 100cc) without anyone complaining. Most times the neighborhood kids are making noise so most on my cul-de-sac are used to 'noise' in the neighborhood. Plus I think my plane runs are more welcomed noises than my neighbors 8 year old girls screams. You think a turbine is high pitched, you should hear this kid..LOL.
