Default JetBeetle turbines?

Good day,

I'm interested in purchasing a JetBeetle H100 turbine, however, I was unable to find an aircraft, manned or RC, using a JetBeetle engine. When asked, the company answered that several target drones may haved been powered by a JetBeetle turbine and that there is a jet powered glider project on it's way.

The engine itself seems to be exactly what I'm looking for, with good performances at a decent price, but such an unknown track record makes me hesitate.

Do any of you ever purchased a JetBeetle turbine? Or have any information about their use in model or manned aviation? Am I really taking a risk ordering this engine?

Any comments are appreciated. Thank you.

With so many proven 100 size engines why gamble on a no name.
Kingtech, Jet Central, Jets Munt, Jet Cat, Behotec, and now Swiwin. (Im sure Im forgetting a few)
Have all proven themselves to be reliable and have good support.
Theres no shortage of good choices.

A Brand New Kingtech 100 is only $1890....

And you have quick turn around in LA if you have problems.

He has been making turbines for a long time, i remember talking with him at least 8~10 years ago. Yet still to this day i have never seen one operating and know of no one that has one.

Big risk, it you want the thrust go with the majors AMT and JC come to mind and BF has a 400 on the way.

Regards,

Be sure to check the warranties. I just replaced my temp probe on a low time kingtech and it cost me $250

lol, sure did. Up till now I've had good luck with kingtech. They've fixed any minor issue and went above and beyond before. I only had around 11 hours on the k100 g1 but what probably got me was it took just a little over a year to put that on.. the temp probe was around $45, rest was labor and shipping. Seems to me that it probably wouldn't have been much more for the pm and I would have had a fresh 0 time turbine if the option would have come up.. anyway, any new turbines I buy now will take this into consideration for sure

Wow I just looked it up you are right.
I was assuming an H100 would be a 100N turbine.
My mistake, that must be quite a project.

Good day,

The H100 is indeed producing 100lbf of thrust. I've contacted several turbine manufacturers producing turbines in the 66-105 lbf (300-400 N) range but they all gave me a delivery time of 6 to 8 months. JetBeetle is quicker and less expensive, that's why it caught my attention.

I didn't know about Kingtech, thanks for the advice Dieselman1220, their 310 turbine could work for my project.
