Default High Sierra Jets! September 21-23 2018

I'm currently working on all of the pricing for next year from tents to camping, to generator/water/waste storage rentals. The only thing I have set in stone so far is this......Pilot fees $55.00 includes t-shirt and catered BBQ dinner Saturday night that is pulled pork and beef brisket with sides, rolls and non alcoholic drinks (sodas, and waters)

Hi Desert, I stopped by the field on Friday the 15 and there was nobody in sight. How did Saturday and Sunday go? I went to the air races and we drove up to check out your very nice field.

No one showed up, but I am in the planning stages for next year and there will be more to come around the first of the year. This is the weekend before Thunder Valley in Rocklin, Ca. so that more people from farther away can take advantage of both events without a large gap between. I've taken what is traditionally the dates for Fresno Jets since they are unable to use their field for a jet event at that time.

I think you might be fighting the high elevation, I for one have no interest in flying at 5000' with a jet when I could be at sea level enjoying the benefits of air. We also went to the field in Carson city and it to is 4900'. Best of luck with your jet rally next year.

Tucson Jets had a density altitude of over 9000' in March and the flying was still ongoing. During this time of year our Density altitude is between 5000' and 7000' depending on time of day. I'm sure it was higher at Rocklin, Ca. yesterday, than it was at the Reno site.

The Carson field is not too jet friendly being that close to the mountain.
