I just wanted to throw this out there for anyone else running the TV so they don't look at the install pictures and just copy those and then get a surprise. I am not going to have to add any ballast so not a big deal.
Could you take some picks of your setup placement and the thrust vectoring? Decent pics of the thrust vectoring set up are fairly hard to find.
thanks,

I can see about pictures of the TV. you will only be able to see the back end. The servos and such aren't visible. My stuff isn't really mounted yet, just set in for the CG check. I will take pictures once everything is in place and mounted.

Default Wing tube

Apart from the paint chipping off around the ailerons and flaps I’ve hd no real issue with the plane till yesterday when I noticed the wing kept creeping out after each flight, bolt tight and reset after each flight then I noticed the wing tube had a bend in it. Has anyone had the same issue?
I’ve had about 8 flights on it. All landings were greasers and I’ve put no real force on the plane ( certainly less than my mates and his is still straight).

wow i wonder if it had any bend in it from shipping and just now noticed ... we put wing tubes that size through heck in many other planes and even 3d stuf with hard pulls but i cant ever remember bending a tube in flight. your gear should rip out or other signs of hard landing with such a force.. fingers crossed mine holds up well.............may check the diameter and see if i can sleeve the inside with a carbon tube.

Since sleeving the new wing tube I felt a lot happier flying the plane. And when it landed after the first few flights also noticed that the wing hadn’t come apart during flight. I think the reason it was separating was the tube was flexing during flight and forcing the wing to separate.
Anyway all sorted now. Will look for something else to sleeve the elevators and I’ll be way more happier.

I'm thinking about ordering one of these and putting my K-160G2 in it. Has anyone had any issues with the Pilot servos? I'm debating on the turbine ready version or the landing gear, tailpipe version and using my own servos. Just curious how the Pilot servos are holding up. Thanks.

I put about 100 flights on my turbine ready version and the servos are working great. I found the flaps could use a little more power, but they work just fine. I am very satisfied with the Pilot servos.

Thanks Tony. This was an initial test. I had set the end points individually but when maxed in 2 directions I think it was binding a little. I will be checking everything a few more times before it is flown.

Are you guys using the stock tank with the built in UAT? Also does anyone have a picture of how it's actually plumbed. I look at the manual online but not the best pictures. I'm actually thinking of getting the version that isn't turbine ready and use my own servos. No where has the turbine ready version available. Closest is chief aircraft and that's not until April-May.

I’m using the stock tank and UAT

I got the version without servos and used Pro Modeler DS470BLHV servo which have performed perfectly.

I have a question that I hope someone can please answer. So, I just got my Predator and unboxed it. First thing I noticed was that it is a 2 piece fuse and the tail pipe isn't mounted. So, my question is how in the hell am I suppose to drill and screw anything to secure the pipe and second I have no idea how I am going to put the bottom 3 screws in to bolt the fuse together. I don't see how I can bolt the fuse then put the pipe in because of the former unless I'm looking at it wrong. Mind you I just unboxed it so I haven't sat and looked at it long. Just curious what you guys did to mount the pipe.

push the tail pipe to the back of the fuselage. rear of the tail pipe should be pushed out of the rear of the fuselage. then you can do it.
the tail pipe fix after you connect the two piece of fuselage.
thanks.

Has anyone used a Spektrum A7040 retract servo for flaps? The servo is proportional and accepts end point adjustments. Torque rating looks abought right.

Default A7040 servo not suitable

I made a mount for this wider Spektrum A7040 servo. Had to cut down travel to suite. No good. Too much gear slop and poor centering. I’ll need to install a quality 20kg-cm servo on the flaps. What servos are good for flaps? I am using Futaba bls175sv servos for the control surfaces (A, E, R). The Futaba servos are great, but maybe an over kill for flaps.

Sorry, poorly written first response. Futaba servos are great for aileron, elevator and rudder, no problems. It’s the Spektrum A7040 retract servo that’s no good for flaps.

Do any of you have pictures or what did you do to mount a smaller turbine like a K-160. I noticed it doesn't sit on the factory rails so there are these little tabs for mounting "smaller turbines". I don't really like the factory ones because they look way to thin for my liking. Just curious what some others have done. Thanks.
