Hello Jonboy,
I used the manual settings with high setting on elevator because of the rotation thing, but never had to pull all the elevator on take offs, CG as the manual says, nose heavy side.
1. Elevator 25-30mm
2. Rudder 15mm
3. Aileron 20-25mm
4. Flaps t-off 20 mm
5. Flaps landing 40mm
CG 105mm—110mm from leading edge at root.
Sergio

I was just looking at the pictures you posted of your A-10. Just wondering as to the size and the make/model of the pilot figure that you used? Thanks. Jon

Hey guys, I know there hasn’t been much activity on this thread in awhile but I’m hoping someone here can help me. I recently bought the Xtreme 1/7.5 A-10 from a guy. I am going turbine power (Kingtech K-85’s) with it but it did not come with factory thrust pipes so I am having Hiep Custom pipes make them. After researching a little I know that the thrust angle is very important on the A-10. I have read that if the turbine is centered in the nacelle between the rails, I will need a 10 degree angle and the pipe angle should match the angle of the back of the nacelle. Does anybody know if this is correct???? Also, can anybody tell me what size the pipe diameter is on the stock pipe? Any help much appreciated. Thanks. Jon

Hey Rob, I sent you another PM in regards to your factory pipes. Yes, I am interested and could really use them. Please shoot me a PM or better yet email me at [email protected]. RCU’s PM notifications really don’t work anymore. Thanks. Jon

need new gear
Hello,
at first sorry for my bad english.
I bought a crashed A10.
But theres are no gears installed.
Asked to Skymaster, but they don´t sell gears without the model.
Have anybody an idea which gear from the market will fit to the A10?
Or have anybody for example a Electron ER40 installed, but with which struts and wheels?
Best regards
Thomas

I have electron 40 in my model, I did have to machine a metal mount to install them however. I guess you could make a mount out of wood.
if doing so, I would take the chance to reinforce the mounting plate. On my model the gear was attached to the skin with very little strength below it!!!
i used electron wheels and brakes.
i acquired a set of legs from a friends crashed FB model. I’d suggest you look at what BVM supply with their kit.
Hope that helps.

Hi Thomas,
This was my order
ER-40eVo set B (Steering system)
Main legs conection pin: ∅ (1/2") 12.7mm
Main retraction angles*: 85º Reverse
Nose retraction angle*: 90º Reverse
Steering system: Servo plate
Nose leg conection pin: ∅ 8mm
I also bought two 90 degree spare trunnions. I cannot remember of used them.
i also used their 100mm electron wheels and brakes. I wouldn’t go for smaller wheels.

You use reverse main retracts?
if I look right at the original it is a normal version.
more bigger wheels are even better.
did you remember the nose wheell diameter?
And have you the strut length?
Best regards

Hi Thomas,
My mistake. I ordered reverse mains, but I converted them myself to normal.
i also used 90 degree trunnions, not 85.
Main legs are 15cm, from bottom of trunion to center of axle. Anything from 14cm to 15.5 is okay with the 100mm wheels.
ill try to get the nose wheel for you another time.

Hi bidrseed2,
thank you verry much.
That is what I think.
And if I have the nose leg and whell dimensions I will order.
I have find legs at Behotec with a little bit of scale like for the A10: Federbein 140 mm mit Schwinge-FB 140
leng is 140mm. maybe a spacer between leg and trunion, but this is the fine optimicing.
Regards

Hello at all,
nex step is turbine instalation.
I want to install the turbines (X90) without the pipes.
Question to the pilots how fly also without thrustpipes.
What is the right up angel for the turbines?
The end of the naceles have arround 5° up angel to the 0° leveled wing, is this enough?
What are your experiences with it?
Best Regards

Thanks, and this is the crows landing field. I brought it here to maiden in case it needs lots of runway to rotate, but it took off smoothly, much shorter than I expected. I didn't even use any flaps. CG is at 110mm empty tank, (with full tank, my CG is actually at 95mm)
