Default Gear & Door Valve Recommendations?

When I get home in a few weeks I'm going to be putting together my DerJet F-35A.. I'm curious what the preferred setup is these days for handling gear doors and landing gear, as well as brakes? Last jet I built was a BVM Super Bandit, and that used a servo driven brake valve, and a servo driven gear valve with a push-button to close the gear doors.

I still have some servo driven setups as well, the UP brake valve has always been my favorite,
However I have started switching over to the electronic valves, I have been using the XICOY electronic valves, and they have been FLAWLESS, they are less expensive than the jet-tronics valves. The install is super easy, and they take up no space compared to the other setups, not to mention no end point programming needed, and they can be cycled manually by simply pressing a button on the valve itself. They have many pros, and only 1 Con as I see it, with the servo driven setups, if a failure happens, you can service it yourself, disassemble, replace orings, or replace servo gears ETC. On the electronic valve I am not sure if you can actually get inside it to service it. I assume its nothing more than a coil operated solenoid valve, perhaps the coil could be replaced, and a spool removed, but not sure, BUT the ease of install just cant be beat,,

Doug, I used Jet Tronics valves on the prototype, 3 double action and a single action for on-off brakes.

I have done the Jetronics, U.P., and servo driven valves... they all have their pluses and minuses. Jet Tronics is clean and easy with the exception of programming with sequencers, U.P
valves are great I love them but these bigger landing gear that were using now days they just don’t quite carry the volume for the operation. On my latest project I’m going back to old-school servodriven robart and BVM Hi-Flow valves . Some of the larger models are using 4 millimeter airline so the UP valves and the standard manual valves the nipples are too small. Every project is unique for sure

Three of them? What did you need three dual action valves for? One for each gear leg? What about the gear doors?

My favorite are the UP valves and Jet Model Products sequencer.

I think I'm going to go with a UP3 and UP6 for gear/doors and brakes. The F-35A is pretty small by today's standards of what a big jet is, so I should be OK with a single valve setup.

The nose doors stay open gear down and the mains cycle closed gear up and down. So you would need a UP4 and UP3
