I looked on a map and Caddo Mills is about the right distance. Most of the planes are the same as Gary Baker's stills. I will ask Brian Gates if he remembers since he was doing the driving. I think the pits were on the west side of the North/South runway.

I stand corrected... It was Caddo Mills.... The Greater Southwest I was thinking of was in Midlothian.. Just south of Ft. Worth... I'm not sure what year that was, but that is where the Full Scale lost it landing and I was running !!! LOL I think Malcom Kay was there and blew up another Aviation Designs F-16, and Ken White had that Winnabago motorhome that shot craps and wouldn't start on Sunday to go home... Wierd how you remember certain parts of things but not others...

The good old day's !!!

Oh yeah! I remember the old gal in the Piper...4 bounces, hard right turn through the ditch and damn near went into the hangar. Guys were running everywhere. I also remember we lost a bunch of jets for interference...myself included...my new Mavrick Pro. Don' miss 72 mhz.

Tom, didn't they finally figure out there was some sort of trasmitter tower that was slightly out of tune and was bleeding into our frequencies? Or was that aomewhere else in the DFW area.

That was Midlothian in 1999.
Not only the road-rage full-scale, but the infestation of crickets and grasshoppers. Never did get all of the guts out of the Byron fan.....

That's right, it was a TV tower. I also don't miss the cricket and grasshopper plagues back then, that was some real biblical stuff!

Default B-58

People still interested in the B-58. Ha! As far as copy rights go, unless you are making a business or selling stuff that looks like a product don't worry about it! I went through this yesterday with Lockheed/Martin Legal and they told me they have nothing to due with copy rights till you call a Business or a product by its name. F-16 you build no problem, F-16 you sell as a product, PROBLEM!

It's mine. Lynn and I built the first one in 86 I think? It crashed then we built another that lasted till 92. Then I built this one. It's in parts in the garage. I'm going to build another someday but don't know when. The next one will be much bigger! 1/6 scale 193" long.

Beautiful!!!

Hmmm, I’m sure BVM isn’t paying royalties for all his scale jets that he sells as a business.

Just got in a set of Spark plans for a 40 w x 60L duct fan built up fomey. Hmmm, just project plans on wall 2x+ size cut out drywall and shape

Yep a 58 is a powerful distraction from a 106 especially when checking the bucket list.

Jetjon, That looks like a king tech. So not so many years ago. Any info on who and when?

I have sent a request to LR AFB for access to static B-58. Now trying to get a realistic budget to go scan. Wish I had vested time when Lone Star Flight Museum had that plane I actually worked on some of their WWII stuff while at Ezell. But, I did not even know I would try this back then.

I am going to keep picking at it but I can easily imagine someone with the real horse power is going to climb that hill and shoot right past me as I begin to spin my wheels.
