That there is funny. I flew in F-16, F15, B52, T37, T38, T39, EA6B, C17 over the last 20yrs......not a one was clean and I only flew combat in the B52. They are not as beat up as what you see from the Vietnam type era, but they are not clean and shiny. It's ok to not weather them if that is your preference. Just not as "scale" as a slightly weathered military jet.

Obviously all aircraft were brand new just once so if factory fresh is your thing why not.
But, to me, just a little subtle weathering on models representing brand new aircraft makes them look less toy like.

Need some advice. I am building an RAF TBF Avenger. Most of the fuse/bottom of the wings/stab/elevators and rudder/fin are painted "White". How do you weather white paint without pouring a wash all over it and wiping it down after doing so. Rookie here, thanks for the help. A friend suggested use of pastels, thanks Noah. Smile. I have scuffed the surfaces with a Scotch Brite pad to remove the sheen. May allow the pastels to grab the surface better. Thanks. Chic
