Default HSD MB339 review anyone???

Hello,

I have just received the HSD MB330. First impression is very nice.... Has anyone built/flown this jet? Your feedback would be much appreciated.

HSD. It is the only composite jet they are offering. Wingspan 1750mm, advertised for the 80 class turbine.
Hope this helps

Looks great. Keep us posted on the build and would love to see a maiden flight video. What turbine do you plan to use?

That thing looks great. Good size too, I'd love to see more in this 70-85 class.

That looks really nice.

Do you have any more info? What is the quality like? Do you know what servos are fitted and if they are any good? What about the gear?

I’m quite tempted to order one of these 😁

slclick33,

I haven't really got the time to look into more details, however at first glance, the gear seem to be similar to the HSD SV type without any certainty... quality of the build looks good. hope to have some time off this week end to check closely.
Nose section is designed to hold on to the aft section with 4 screws. I believe it would be better to add 4 CF rods/dowels to strengthen the joint and not rely only on the bolts, knowing that this section is fairly large and nose is also heavy. A hard landing could end up snapping the screws if you know what I mean....
One other detail I noticed, is that the cockpit and hatch pins are of thin wood dowels, although the fit is ok, these will also be replaced by CF rods for more strengthening.
.
there was no instruction manual or hardware kit apparently included (although most of the screws are already fitted in place.
regards

Does anyone know what’s going on with this model?

It appears to have disappeared from the HSD website already.

Still need to have basic info for the kit that I already got but unfortunately, it seems that no one is able to help till now. It's a real shame as kit looks very interesting but without preliminary info such as Center of Gravity location and recommended throws, i would be jumping in the unknown....
Still hope to find help/feedback!!!

ms200a,
Congratulations on your purchase, the Canadian scheme looks very nice. Looking forward to your feedback and impressions on this jet.
unfortunately, mine is still in the box, as i did not have much time for the hobby lately. my plan is to install a Kingtech 85.
When i checked the contents, i told myself that i would be changing the flimsy would dowels holding canopy and hatch in place to CF rods and thought of adding a couple of hooks (half way) to hold down the canopy firmly.... Just my intention for more piece of mind.

All the best

Default Mb 339

Thanks for all the interest in the MB 339 . I will be posting a build thread here and on rcg . This jet is basically a PNP little jet . I have been flying the proto type since KY jets on a Swiwin 120 . Since then , we asked the factory for some slight changes . This jet , turbine range is from a 60 to a 120. I will be testing it this week with a sw60. thanks terry
