I'll be there, hopefully Thursday mid-day - Saturday.

Dial the heat down a bit, please!

I want to thank Vernon for thanking Dawn for C.D.ing the event and thank Dawn also myself. Larry can go to his family obligation knowing the Greater Southwest Jet Rally is in good hands !! And while we're in "Thanking Mode ' I want to thank the entire HOTMAC Club for hosting this awesome event at a most awesome place !!
I don't know if many know the history of this event, The Greater Southwest Fan Fly was born to the Austin Radio Control Assn. and throughout the early years it changed locations year to year and moved all over the state of Texas and hosted by different Clubs and C.D.'s. for over two decades... Not sure if that was by design or fate... It landed in Waco at HOTMAC several years ago and hasn't moved since. It finally found a beautiful and loving home with a great geographical location and top notch facility.
If you have never attended this event, I really think you will enjoy it very much and be well worth your travels. Come join us and see for yourself !!!

See you in two weeks !!!,

Dan M.

I had someone attending the event needing a Linear actuator contact me today and since I was about to put in an order I thought I would ask. If anyone needs something in the actuator line let me know I will throw it in on the order and bring it to the event which will save a bit. I have some the normal stock I will be bringing of actuators and lights, but mainly coming to fly and hang with everyone!!!!
I think I mentioned it but im also going to donate a light kit for the event.

Hey Ronnie I dont suppose I can get on the list now 20 gallons or so of jet fuel

Yep, I CD'd it in Caddo Mills in 1998. In 99 it was rained out at Caddo Mills under another CD, but most everyone went to Waco for a non official event. I'm pretty sure it has been there ever since.

You'd better include yourself in that "old" statement there Danno!

This was the second Greater Southwest I attended:

Kevin, I'm pretty sure it was in Middlothian (sp) in '99. That was "the last of the century" with the "Cessna" going off-roading and the grasshopper infestation. (Never did get all the bug guts out of the Byron fan unit....)
