Mine has the HSD Gear. They work fine but def. not Electron Quality, mine is a 12S EDF setup.
Can you let me know what batteries you are using and your flight time with them? I'm building a 12S now and am trying to decide what batteries to use in it.

I have been flying a set of gensace 5000’s and a set of the latest Turnigy Graphene 75C. 4000’s. I use a capacity sensor (Jeti) to decide when its time to land. I honestly can not tell you how long my flights are.

I want to mention the Turnigy Packs are the best packs I have used to date!

Hi All,

I just ordered this jet yesterday from Harlock RC and my tracking shows it will be here Thursday. Wow! That is fast, I waited months for my T1 and Skymaster-Xterme F4e. Anyway I plan to put a Kingtech 70 in this plane when they become available again. Flying off a paved runway so went with the stock landing gear with brakes. My radio gear is Jeti and will use a Jeti 10ch Assist receiver.

Regarding servo requirements, the instructions picture shows Savox SH0257mg servos. I have several of them as well as Savox SH0255mg servos. I run LiFe 6.6v batteries for my flight equipment. Will these servos work will with this plane?

Planned applications:
Flaps, Elevators, Rudder - SH0255mg - Speed @6v - 0.13 sec/60 deg / Torque @6v - 3.9kg/54.2oz-in
Steering and Ailerons - SH0257mg - Speed @6v - 0.09 sec/60 deg / Torque @6v - 2.2kg/30.6oz-in

Thank you,
Jeff

Unless you plan to use a number of y harnesses I don’t think the 10 assist will give you enough channels.

The MKS 93 is a drop in fit anything larger will require modifying the openings

Hi Bob,

I will also have a R3 attached to the Rex 10 Assist which I can expand channels with the R3. I do not use y harnesses whenever possible. I saw that MKS 93 servos have good specs and drop in easily. My thought is to work with what I have before buying new ones if they have enough torque. Just seems some of these setups being done have a ton of torque for small flying surfaces.

Thank you,
Jeff

By putting servo’s in the R3 you will power the R3 and servo’s from a single port...I’m using a R12 Assist in mine.

Dansy,
I will only use the R3 for retracts and brakes. They are powered separately and only need the signal wire to the R3. I did this with my Freewing F16 and works great.

David,

Thank you for the advice on the M70. I have been happy with the Kingtech line and especially the service and support from Dirk and Barry at Pacific RC Jets. I need to get back out to the basin and see yours.

Has anyone added another tank to get longer flight times. I was getting 6 minutes with a 50 oz tank in my Avanti that my 45 came out of but at 30 oz I'm afraid 4 minutes might even be pushing it with a k45.

With the turbine conversion kit tank I'm getting close to 7m with a 45

I don't fly it wide open for 7 minutes though

Could a Merlin VT-80 be adequate for this plane, or is too big?

Anything with more power or weight than a K45 is just silly. A 70 is crazy

From my experience I'm sure this plane would do superb on the K30 too. Shave a lot of weight of and still get good performance

Another model I would consider converting to the K30! Henke do you have a suggested setup.

This would probably be a good candidate for it though I think the 45 is a great match

Hello, how did you manage to keep that CG? With empty and full tank please. I can't place my tank aft in order to reach the steady desired CG.

Ok, but once main tank is filled CG changes forward, and as you fly tank empties down and CG moves then aft. Normal ?
