I had several FB jets. Their quality just continues to improve and I personally think it is the best of all the Chinese ARFs. I have had many of the others and it is definitely a cut above the rest. I currently have a large Dolphin that is 2 years old and has been flawless. I had another one but it died in a wind shear event, not the planes fault. We have had 2 other Dolphin S at our field and they both built easily and flew great. We have one guy building the FB F-100. I have a FB T-33 that should ship any day. I am planning on a Mirage 2000 as soon as I get the T-33 finished. The FB formers are laminate ply and cf. The paint is flawless. They ship them in a box that will live through a nuke. The only negative is the fuel tank fittings and hardware require some upgrade. I have seen the big F100 fly and it is very nice. Landings seemed relatively easy. It is a big airplane and will thus be heavy. Good turbine selection and high quality servos will make a very nice jet. I am not a FB dealer, just a modeler. Eric Clapp at A&E Jets (941-468-1246) is the US distributor for FB and is a great guy to deal with. I have been buying motors and jets from him for many years.

I have the FB F-100. I just finished and flew it at JOK. I went direct with Catherine at the factory on mine.

Quality is good, packing and shipping was great. There are some things you will need to do during the build to make it better than what the factory sends. Also, if you do order the F-100, ask for an extra set of main wheels and brakes, and 10 extra main gear axle bearings. You will go through them over time and will be good to have on hand instead of having to order them separately.

I am flying mine with a JetCat P-220Rxi. Plenty of power. Had my fuel system rigged with one cell being for Jet A and the other for smoke. Was only getting 5 minutes of flight plus BINGO and would rather have more flying time so I pulled the smoke system and re-plumbed for both tanks to be Fuel. I want 8-9 minutes of flight.

The main gears, you will spend some time on those, getting the scissor brace with minimal friction and the doors working properly. Because of the scale function of the gear and doors, this needs a UP-2 and UP-4 valve setup. Of course you can use other type sequencers but the main door operations on the bench versus the air...you will need to teak the timing. I just finished a article on this build that will go in to the next JPO Contrails magazine that should be out in the next week or so. There are some pics of the mods I did to suit my own way of building.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Looks good rex, first time I have seen it. Should look great with some lights during an early evening flight!

FB does a very nice product, Eric is great to deal with and for misc. parts Catherine is very responsive. I did have to reinforce some of the spars in my mirage that i bought in 2016 but that is because I fly it on a grass field.

Desert Fox: Do you have standard fuel tanks in you F100.? I am impressed with how long you can fly yours for. I have a F100 powered by a Behotec 220 but have my timer set for 7 minutes.

The Yellow F100 is using 7L (5L + 2L) tanks (I used round tanks in series). The stock tanks is 7.6L (2X.8L in parallel) . The K260 is setup on 2.6sec spoolup and I get about 8-10mins flighttime with my flying style (I was landing with about 2-2.5L left after each flight and it was gusting 20-25mph crosswinds.) I have 2L smoke and will another 2L soon to make it 4L smoke.
